Friendly pub with accommodation. Rooms nothing special but are clean, comfortable and warm. Food is good fare. Staff are friendly - especially the chef who was especially welcoming.

Stayed here for a night for a family wedding, and was pleasantly surprised. We had a family room for us and our two children and were given the Osprey room . It was a lovely spacious, modern room, and extremely clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our evening meal there was superb too. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting comfort and quality without being overly expensive.

Friendly staff, good food cooked to order and piping hot, apart from meat for Sunday lunch. Room very comfortable and clean. Our 2nd stay here and we will definitely return. Good value and quiet.

We booked 1 night b&b would so like to say I loved it but can't. Had a evening meal even though I said it was ok it wasn't pie had hardly any meat and what it did have was covered in pepper and tough. Room was clean but could hear everyone moving about up and down hall which smelt like cats wee this may be because its a old building Shower and toilet were like they used a generator to work they made a right noise. Breakfast ok but wasn't that warm.

First time going since new management for a Sunday dinner. One of the best meals I have had in a long time, good sized portion, lovely staff and always on hand if needed. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of eating out.

On the off chance just popped in as our plans fell through, and our g/daughter was getting restless in the car, very glad we did, lovely staff, great welcoming, sun dinner was tasty, would love to of stopped for pudding but at to get back, will def go again to sample more of the menu.

Very disappointed. I’m assuming it’s changed hands as the menu is completely different, much lesser quality and expensive for what you get. £12 for 2 slices of supermarket ham, 2 eggs and a few chips is a little hard to swallow. This place used to be fabulous...such a shame.

A lovely old pub deep in the countryside. Quality food at reasonable prices, and a good selection of beers and wines. Good enclosed garden area. The conservatory dining area is particularly pleasant, as is the cosy bar. Lovely accommodation facilities with great breakfast. Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Staff will put a ramp on the conservatory entrance for wheelchair access to conservatory and toilets. Outside toilets also wheelchair accessible.

This is a lovely old pub which offers good food and comfortable accommodation. The rooms are not large but perfectly adequate and the breakfast menu is varied. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the place is clean and well kept with plenty of on site parking space. Would definitely stay here again.

I went when a new chef had started a few days ago - I must say he did a great job. The waiters were all extremely quick to respond and generally the whole evening was fab. I had the chocolate torte for dessert which was divine.
