Fantastic food, lovely staff, overall great experience would highly recommend

The food was amazing!! I had a steak burger that melted in your mouth, and the size of the fish and chips the fish was the size of a dolphin, okay, not quite but huge.Bar/waiting staff super friendly.Really nice fireplace, and I will definitely, without a shadow of dought, be returning here.The pricing was fair as well I couldn't ask for much more.

Nice place. Friendly staff. Like most pubs bit more of a restaurant than a pub these days unfortunately. Very nice bitter on tap.

Very nice place situated in a beautiful village,staff are fantastic and very polite,and the food is very good,not sure about the rooms as I have never stayed there.

We just popped in on the off chance hoping we could get some Sunday lunch. What a wonderful welcome from Holly and her team. The service was excellent and as for the amazing food, well you need to try it for yourself. Thanks for a fabulous afternoon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Take away Sunday lunch on this occasion, perfectly hot, vegetables cooked to the bite. We had lamb with loads of hot gravy and mint sauce. Lovely meal with all the trimmings.

Great place to stay and great place to eat. Stayed in lovely room overlooking the square. Tea and coffee in room. Bathroom had huge bath. Bed comfy, lovely breakfast, fantastic Sunday roast. All staff very friendly and amenable.

Lovely pub and food. Beer selection for ale drinkers is adequate. Very clean and well managed hostelry. Would love to visit again and utilise the outdoor seating in warmer times

What a beautiful place. Fantastic restaurant and very, very nice accommodation. This was our first overnight stop of a four day (73 mile) hike around the perimeter of the county of Rutland. We'd walked 21.5 by the time we arrived, in very hot and humid conditions. The staff were very friendly and we were shown to our room, where we duly collapsed😂Dinner was booked for 7pm and we weren't disappointed. The food we had was excellent, as was the service. Breakfast the following morning was just as good. We'd sat outside in the garden for twenty minutes, just admiring the beautiful surroundings, before going in to eat.Beautiful place, set in an excellent location in a beautiful village. Definitely one to return to.

We stayed Friday and Saturday night 10th and 11th September. The food we had was excellent, in our opinion couldn't be any better. The staff were very friendly and nothing too much trouble. Liked it so much we have booked in again for this Friday night. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a lovely night away or just for a lovely mealLoraine and Vince Withers
