Coming back after refit and general change round and we weren’t disappointed had the Oakham plater for two with my Father-in-law and it was superb my wife had the Greek salad which was great as wellWe decided to have a Cider to accompany our meal and my father in law had a lager he likes a drop of lime in it as he’s not a big drinker but had no cordial so had fresh lime instead which was fineThe Cider was more of a challenge and being a ex Drayman who’s job was to deliver beer I kind of know my stuff it was a nice vintage Cider which if I was at home and not planning on going anywhere would be fine at 12% ABV it’s a bit strong for a lunch time tippleOverall great place and love the decor

Our Second and visit and very disappointed this time as it took a while for our order to be taken and then after a further 30 minutes food arrived which was not as nice as we expected based on our first visit.

What a lovely place, great staff, dog friendly and fantastic cakes!!! Coffee was amazing and the service pleasant and helpful. You can also wander around a great garden centre.

Not the best when I visited on Mothers Day, the beef was very rare and stringy, parsnip was undercooked and singular!!! Mostly cabbage for veg with one carrot and one parsnip. Sorry but not impressed especially as it was quite expensive. I won't be back. I suggest they employ a chef who can cook.

Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time, bacon roll and a couple of fried eggs were pretty sweet. Great service, good price, and a dog friendly area as a bonus!Will call again if we are in the area.

Went there yesterday. Waited 20 mins for table service. Eventually got up and ordered at the front desk. Another 15 mins spent waiting for 2 coffees. The food we ordered also never arrived as was forgotten about so ended up leaving and going somewhere else. And we only went there to support somewhere local. Probably 1st and last time we will go there. As they say, rather stick to places you know as best not to try somewhere new.

Well run café serving good coffee and excellent breakfasts. The cakes looked incredible; I commit to returning next time I visit Rutland so I can have an opinion on them 🤩

3 of us on bikes visited here one chilly damp morning for a pre booked breakfast during one covid times. Phoned the day before to book a table and was greeted by lovely warm friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and prompt. Cakes looked amazing thou managed to resist. If your a cyclist who’s looking for a stop then you can’t do much wrong here. Or if you just fancy somewhere nice for a cup of tea and cake. Either way whatever takes your fancy this place is worth a visit. And it’s supporting local trade. 👍🏻

Tasty food and brilliant service, staff were friendly and welcoming. Cosy cafe, well worth a visit.
