We've had an excellent meal here. Staff were very welcoming on arrival, nice selection of food and drinks. Food was excellent. Highly recommended and we'll visit again soon.

A lovely little country pub, with a nice interior and friendly staff. Popped in for a quick lunch and found the food to be very pleasant, as well as reasonably priced. Overall I enjoyed it and would go again if back in the area.

Stopped for lunch. Pub was only half full. Landlord said he couldn't fit us in so we spent £60 on drinks and crisps/nuts (and tipped). Sat outside with our drinks and ate some rolls bought from the village shop, only to be shouted at by the Landlord that we couldn't picnic. He was unpleasant and could have dealt with it way better than he did. Won't be going back. I like to frequent places that make you feel welcome.

Lovely place food good nicely decorated makes full use of of its area so plenty of seating, very dog friendly, good selection of beers and wines.

Had two lovely meals here. Friendly service and nothing was too much trouble. My husband especially enjoyed the beer!

Fantastic hospitality, managed to fit us in without booking on a busy Saturday night. Food was amazing, definitely recommend this place.

We arrived on Saturday to find that due to a mix up on our behalf, we hadnt booked a table! The wonderful Landlord and his staff managed to fit us in, and boy was it worth it! Lovely pie of the day and 3 of us had Chicken flatbreads also super. Great real ales on tap, it was a very enjoyable evening, thank you and we will return as I want a pie!!!

Lovely pub in Cottesmore. Had a v pleasant meal. The landlord was v helpful and looked after us and our large dog. V nice steak and ale pie with mash and my wife had v good vegetarian option. Would have given 5 but had to wait a while for the bill and which was provided to us in 2 parts and was all a bit of a mess with the girl behind the bar. That said definitely worth visiting if in Cottesmore

Fantastic little place. Food is great and he prices are very reasonable. Stopped whilst driving past, but will certainly make more trips out that way !
