"Amalfi White is a fun and relaxed modern restaurant and wedding venue in the idyllic market town of Melbourne, Derbyshire. We are open for lunches and dinners and drinks throughout the week. We have a restaurant and grill on the ground floor with a well stocked gin, cocktail and prosecco bar. Outside we have a terraced gardens with rattan sofas and white umbrellas for long outdoor lunches and children’s play area. On the first floor we have a stunning ballroom with bar available for private events and weddings."

I've been here a few times with my friends and it's such a nice place! The service is so good especially Christina, she was so friendly and the drinks came out so quickly. I will definitely be coming back again!

Visited for a meal with friends. On arrival our table wasn't ready and we waited in the bar, which was very busy. We were around 30 minutes late being seated at our table, and no apology. We decided to go straight to main course. We were told there would be a 30-45 minute wait, and asked repeatedly if we wanted something to nibble on, we didn't. When the food arrived it was nice but expensive for what it was. £19 for chicken and then extra for potatoes and veg, though there was a small amount of veg on the plate we were told there wasn't. We had dessert that was also nice. It was quite noisy in the restaurant and overall certainly on a Saturday night seems to cater to a younger client base. On visiting the ladies before I left, it was more like being in a nightclub than a restaurant with a number of people who were worse for wear shouting and cursing. So I had an enjoyable night with my friends, and the food was good, but due to price, and the Saturday night 'loud pub' feel to the place, I won't be rushing back.

Great service and staff were excellent and attentive. Food was good. The only thing I found odd was that we decided against a desert but were going to have a coffee, however once we decided against the desert the bill was presented and the opportunity for a coffee was gone. Never had that before!

Please be aware that they charge £20 per person should you cancel at short notice no matter the reason. Please make sure you gain this information if you book over the phone as they do not communicate this to you but rely on the email confirmation as their back up. The second time I booked, I received no email. Irrespective of this we still visited this place. Our table was booked for 8.15 but was not ready and we had to wait half an hour or so. Once seated and ordered we had to wait an additional 40 minutes for our food. The food was great but, having dined at many nice places, to command these prices I would expect a great deal more. Pleasant enough but probably wouldn't go there again.

I do not recommend ... the service is very rude waitresses, they added 20 GBP to the bill with a service !! I wouldn't be angry if it wasn't for the fact that we waited about 45 minutes for the meal and the waitresses were very unpleasant. Food ... well barely the standard of fast food and the bill over £ 200

Enjoyed beautifully presented, and cooked food with attentive, polite staff despite a busy (and understandably popular) restaurant. Would highly recommend.

Not the best experience, luke warm food, wrong drinks served and starters served before we even got a drink. Does not reflect the prices they are offering, you can have better at world service or iberico, or even a simple restaurant. The stars are purely for the young lady who served she was polite and attentive

I haven't had a dining experience that compares to dining at Amalfi White, and I like to eat out.Often, I attend restaurants and have an expectation to be let down by something. Be it poor service, rude waiter, mediocre food... I expected no different from Amalfi White. I was LOOKING for something to nitpick.First off, here's what I ordered:Marinated Sicilian olives, fresh chilli, garlic, rosemaryStarter: Duck liver and apricot parfait, blackberry reduction, berry jelly, lamb's leaf and rocket salad, mini brioche and Himalayan salt butterMain: Roasted pork medallions, glazed fondant potato, Romanesco florets, compressed apples, crispy belly, pork popcorn and cider reductionDessert: Honey and lemon thyme roasted figs, Mirabelle plum jelly, brandy steeped cranberry sponge with cinnamon ice creamThe olives were straight forward, hard to go wrong. The starter however, was exquisite. A masterclass in decadence that I haven't experienced before, even from Michelin star restaurants. The flavours and textures were amazing, but moreso than this, the presentation was beautiful with the dish being so well put together I felt bad "digging in". I must admit, this was my favourite course. I can't say it any more; I've never tasted anything quite as wonderful as this. The main came out and that was wonderful. The meat was tender, with minimum effort required to cut at the pork and it tasted brilliant. The crackling was a pleasant addition and broke up the textures of the dish beautifully. It certainly delivered as a great follow up to the starter, with it being equally as beautifully presented and tasting fantastic. The desert was okay. I wasn't too impressed by the fig itself, it was more bitter than sweet, but the cinnamon ice cream and the cranberry sponge beneath the fig were great additions to the dish and made up for the fig itself. Overall, I still enjoyed this.Edit: I was so impressed by the food it's all I talked about. This has unfortunately lead for me to neglect speaking about the staff. The staff here were welcoming with the front reception area covered by three people, and one of them took us to our table. Throughout the meal, staff were attentive of our requirements, with offers of drink refills close to our glasses being empty. Everyone was really nice. The restaurant should be proud of their staff. So there you have it. I highly recommend dining at Amalfi White at least once if you can. I plan on reserving this for special occasions for me and my wife.

We held our wedding ceremony at Amalfi White. We found them relatively short notice, after a change in our plans. We were extremely lucky the only availability they had, was the exact availability of our registrar. They were extremely helpful, guiding us through what information they needed for the booking and advice for on the day. We arrived and the venue was dressed beautifully, with candles lit, creating a lovely atmosphere and afterwards we had some photos in the garden. It was simple, beautiful, perfect and better than we could have hoped for!
