Went for a celebration meal out too try the spring 22 tasting menu. It was fantastic and we loved every dish served. They mention on the website to allow for 2.5 hours which was nearly exact to our experience. We will certainly be keeping an lookout for the next menu update to visit again soon.

Every time the menu changes, we book a table at The Lighthouse. Whilst every dish is not perfect, you cannot deny the ambition, creativity and customer focus of this young team. They take constructive feedback on board and strive for continuous improvement. As a long term fine diner, a meal at The Lighthouse is something I always look forward to. Keep pushing the boundaries, Lighthouse team!

Our favourite restaurant by a long stretch. It serves a fine dining experience with a delicious, extravagant tasting menu with a multi layer of wonderful flavours that never fail to surprise and delight. I can't recommend it enough.

Another fantastic meal and service. Lovely touch that Jon came out the kitchen to say Hi. Nice he remembered us....and he got the door for my wife! What a gentleman. See you again soon

This was my third visit, although the first for a couple of years. I was expecting a fabulous meal, but sadly was disappointed. The food was good, but not exceptional. The tempura prawns could have been from Iceland. The dough balls were. ...doughy balls, with little taste and an unpalatable texture. The £50 bottle of wine (from the cheaper end of the wine last) was very ordinary - if I'd paid £10 for it from a shop I'd have made a note not to buy it again.I was hoping to start of with a beer, but sadly under the 'ales' section of the drinks menu, there was only lager or small cans of beer. No ale at all, not even bottles. As they've taken over the pub since I was last there, I'd rather expected to be able to get a beer.At the end of the meal I decided to take a whisky with my coffee, only to discover that even the cheapest ordinary whisky was £12 for a tiny shot. This is ridiculous. I waited until I got home, and had one with my cheese and biscuits, as I was still hungry due to the tiny portions. I shan't be going again.

We've been here before and loved it but this time we found it okay. The food was absolutely beautiful but we left still really hungry. Last time we came we left really full. It feels like they've cut the portion sizes right back at the same time as putting prices up. Service was really slow, there is a warning on the menu service is slow but it's still not great. No cocktails either 😔. For the price we paid I was disappointed. Last time we came we couldn't wait to book again and come back this time we feel like we won't be rushing back.

We would normally recommend The Lighthouse for a special meal as we have had some great experiences in the past. I'm afraid the current menu didn't hit the spot for our party of 6 - not as amazingly tasty as previously and everyone left hungry.I'm sure we will be back though at some point.

If google allows half a star, I would have given the tasting menu as 4.5. Overall very lovely experience tonight at the Lighthouse. There were a number of exceptional dishes. For example, the scallop dish was out of this world. Cannot fault anything when strawberries and apples were served with sapphire. They were extremely delicious. Guinea fowl was cooked to perfection and the sour carrot sauce was commendable. I particularly loved the starter beef tartare shell. Tartare well seasoned and texture worked well with the crispy thin shell.Would have been 5 star experience if there were more refinement on the dessert dishes. Chocolate with marmalade as the last dish was slightly too heavy as a finish because the texture was dense. Ice cream matched well with the pastry but could consider including more sharpness or summer freshness. Yuzu was relatively mild and overshadowed with the ice cream.Services were good. During covid, could see that some of the staff might be inexperienced. But happy that the restaurant could stay open.

Outstanding. We had an amazing experience at the Lighthouse restaurant. Warm and personal greeting and felt really welcome also willing to taper the menu for allergies which really put our minds at rest. Without being foodies, we enjoy good food and this is what this is, course after course great produce packed with flavour and interesting tastes. Thank you for a great evening.

We dined for a special occasion and these guys didn't disappoint. The team were very attentive, the decor of the restaurant is super tasteful as was every course we ate. Will return and recommend!
