An excellent Old English style country Pub, it's the very heart of the village Good old school standards, excellent multiple menus, see them online. I've been twice in a week. Friendly staff, lovely people, and a good asset to the Community.. Lots of outside seating also. Well supported.Go, it's well worth it. Huge range of food options. Nice varied menus. Big portions. Well served and supported by all. Deservedly. Visit their local 1,000 year old church site too, it's' iconic to see. Lovely stained glass windows. Open to all each day. Gardens immaculate. A big Yes to all! The portions are so large I don't need to eat for another week.

We went for Mothers Day lunch - we have been here before and the food and service was up to it's usual fantastic standard. The staff were very attentive and the food is amazing. We will definitely be back - it's always busy on a Sunday so best to book :)

Simply the best food you can get in Derbyshire. Well priced and home cooked, especially recommend the homemade sausages and mash. Excellent service and a warm welcome! Long live the hollybush!

To quote someone else(!) "Nice ambience, good service, tasty food with generous portions.". Found this establishment by chance after a four hour drive. We were glad we did - it was just what was needed.

A very pleasant little pub, easy to get to pub in a nice little village. Pleasant, efficient staff, with good food. The lamb mint pie I had was worth waiting for. Good parking.

A lovely local village pub which offers large plates of quality food at good prices. Staff and owners are all very friendly and welcoming. The bar area is dog friendly too which is brilliant after a long walk around the surrounding fields. Highly recommend the homemade Sausages and mash which is hearty and filling.

Great country pub. Went their first Sunday lunch. Food and service was excellent. Had the Pork roast which was delicious and the roasties were amazing. Treacle pudding was light fluffy and tasty. Decent pint of Guinness too which was creamy with strong coffee overtones and a hint of chocolate. Just a shame about noisy children but that’s not the pub’s fault. Would definitely go again

Four of us went for Sunday lunch today having booked the day before.3 starters ,4 main courses,3 puddings and two coffees plus two drinks a piece.£25 a head. An absolute bargain; could not fault a thing , generous portions, perfect seasonal vegetables and great pink top side beef. The Pedigree beer was spot on.Great service from all the staffJust a perfect lunch. We will definitely be back again soon.

Always nice visiting for a drink and bite to eat especially after a walk or bike ride. People welcoming and being dog friendly (bar area only) also helps. Can be a touch busy after a local football match so you may want to check in advance if busy isn't your thing. Wide selection of drinks so you won't struggle with what to have.Enjoy
