Littleover Lodge in South Derbyshire

Rooms are very dated & in need of maintenance. The service was very below par. Breakfast which is included is only continental £6.50 extra for cooked breakfast this should be mentioned before you book. Oh & breakfast doesn't start till 0800!!! Won't be staying again.

Me and my kids came for tea last night and we was totally blown away! It was the best food I’ve had in a very long time, the tapas were amazing and such generous portionsAnd the pizza was the best I’ve ever had lovely to see one of my sons friends doing the pizzas Jay was a lovely boy at school and now he’s a pizza making genius!! 🍕🍕 everything was top notch and we can’t wait to return 🌟

Went to the restaurant for a Sunday roast and had a terrible experience. I'm sure the restaurant staff are great but must have just been a one off experience.The saving grace of my experience was the dessert. I recommend the sticky toffee pudding, it was delicious!I have a severe mushroom allergy which I mentioned to the server, requested for none to be in my food (I'm vegetarian with a mushroom allergy, not the best combination!). They said with confidence there weren't going to be any, when the food arrived I get half way through and I have a reaction.Waitresses seemed like they really didn't want to be there and were unattentive. The guy serving at the carvery however was very lovely, friendly and wanted the best for the customers.Quite disappointing overall.

This lodge hotel was just awesome in Derby. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They see to your needs. The food served at this hotel’s restaurant is sumptuous and reasonably priced. It is a well visited place by many in Derby. Do visit them. 👍

We booked for the Christmas menu and I can honestly say that it was the best Xmas meal out we've ever had. Visited before for the normal menu which is also FAB. Great service, lovely food - Vegetarian option was great. We stayed for cocktails in the bar which were great too. 👍

Went with a family party for Sunday lunch. The service was friendly and attentive. A great menu with lots of choice and the food was excellent. Would definitely go again.Reasonable amount of parking, good access and clean maintained toilets.

Attended for a family 'wake'. Car park in poor condition, made up for by the welcome once inside. Buffet was more than adequate, if a little 'beige and bland'. Worthy of another try if we are in that area again. Very good beer, clean toilets too.

Wonderful service and great food with lots of choices. My family came from a distance to join us for Sunday lunch and to celebrate a special birthday. We would like to thank the staff for being so pleasant, helpful and efficient. Sylvia & Geoff Birkbeck

Quick and friendly check in ,room ok spacious size , bed very noisy.only one bar of soap in bathroom nothing else! Room opens out to the carpark so can hear people talking and car's starting late night and early hour's only booked because it was included breakfast only to find out it's continental breakfast after you've booked it!Food was okay but be careful what your order, ordered garlic bread with cheese didn't come with cheese but ate it anyway as not a fan of send food back to the kitchen, you could blanty see it didn't have cheese on it but wouldn't take it of the bill! 50p !!!honestly I didn't care about the money it's the fact he wouldn't take it off the fact I'm paying for something I didn't have but yet still typed the full amount into to the card machine.

We have stayed here a few times. I have to admit it is not as good as it has been in the past, but I guess these are difficult times for hotels & restaurants.The rooms are nice and comfortable, although the light coming in from outside made it hard to sleep as the blinds they use are not really the best design.The bar is great and the staff really friendly. The food is always good in restaurant.The real downside was the breakfast - they only offer a continental breakfast during the week. We wouldn't have an issue with this if it was a better continental breakfast, but there is clearly not a lot of thought or effort put into it and the choices are very basic (the usual cerals, toast or croissants).For the price this is still a good value hotel but it wouldn't take a lot of extra effort to make it a great hotell
