Takeaway tonight. Seemed much more expensive than it used to be. Food ok but won't be ordering again in a hurry - too expensive now sadly.

A bsolutely disgusting and terrible service. Placed a order just before 7pm got told it’s 1hr for delivery. Yep to be told that there’s no manager on site for me to be speak too, waited over 1hr & 30mins for my food and got apology from the delivery driver & not from anyone else.Absolutely disgusting as it seems as the restaurant is after your money and has no remorse for the service. Hilton needs a better Chinese with the service to go with it.

Very expensive for a takeawayI had a chicken curry fried rice and chipsOver £15:00 deliveredThis used to be a fairly decent takeawayIf you charge premium prices I would expect chicken breastFatty chicken cremated rice and sparse chipsWould never go there again.ShameI received a reply from the “owner”Stating please get in touch to discussSo I thought it was only fair to call and explain why I had left such a bad reviewThe man on the phone wasn’t interested and basically said he was unaware of any issuesI explained I appreciated that he probably wouldn’t be awareBut made no effort to continue the conversationSo I hung upShameI emailed their site but I bounced back as address not foundExtremely frustrating

Had a great time at the Mandarin tonight with friends. Quality food, great and relaxing atmosphere and very good service. Loved the Crispy Aromatic Duck, BBQ Spare Ribs, chicken yuk sung, pan-fried Salmon in the light soy sauce with ginger and spring onions, steamed King Prawns in Garlic Sauce and the Sweet and Sour chicken. Everything was freshly cooked and tasted great! It's the best Chinese in the area.

4 of us went to The Mandarin last night and had a very pleasant evening. The atmosphere was fabulous and service was very good. The restaurant was very busy and full. We could see that their takeaway was very busy too. All the staff were working very hard. Although we had to wait for about 20-25 minutes between courses, but it was definitely worth it. The food was very fresh and tasty. Plus, we needed time to have a drink or two after our delicious starters (aromatic crispy duck, sesame prawn toast, satay chicken skewers and salt & chilli ribs). The mains (sweet & sour chicken, szechuan roast pork, beef in black pepper sauce, pan-fried salmon in a light soy sauce, ginger & spring onions) were absolutely gorgeous too. The waiting staff were polite, very professional and efficient. We were well looked after. Overall, we had a fantastic evening out. The Mandarin is our favourite and best Chinese in the area. No doubt about it.

Great atmosphere, lovely food and reasonable price. The owner couldn't have been more welcoming and acomodating. I went back 2 days in a row.

Decided to eat out one Friday evening but hadn't booked a table anywhere. So took a walk the The Mandarin. So glad we did. Previously had used their takeaway service but never eaten there. They weren't very busy, but even so the service and the food was excellent. Probably the best Chinese food I've eaten in a restaurant.Would definitely recommend The Mandarin and will be taking another walk there soon.

The four of us had a fantastic meal with very helpful and good service. The ambience, the decor and lighting were very welcoming and there were four other tables of customers in the restaurant when we arrived. On a midweek evening that’s nice. It was not quiet. We went for the cooked to order all you can eat buffet. Excellent value only £16.99 per person. We had lots of different dishes. The salt and chilli ribs, sweet & sour chicken and beef in black bean sauce were my favourite. Great food, good value, fantastic & friendly service. Definitely go back again.

We went on Valentine's night and chose the all you can eat buffet menu. There was a lot of choice and it's cooked to order. The food was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. They helped when we asked about gluten free options for future visits with my daughter.... service was a little slow but overall it was lovely. We'll definitely go again.
