New Inn in South Derbyshire

Great fresh hearty food, good beer, and great atmosphere. Special mention goes to Mandy for her exceptional customer service which I have rarely - if ever - seen elsewhere in any profession. Will definitely be coming back a few more times in the future

We visited here a couple of weeks ago for Saturday lunch after previously visiting all be it a few years ago when we had a wonderful meal...... First was given someone else's meal- nothing like what I ordered wish I'd said nothing and ate it as the chicken and with bacon and Stilton was tough and nothing like i expected it to look the presentation could of been better looked like it had been slapped togetherSuch a shame especially when you have taken someone there as a treat

Well I don't really know where to start. This pub has gone down hill. Such a shame because the location is perfect beside the canal.We were there this weekend and the food was diabolical, I had fish and chips, the fish batter was just saturated in oil and tasted disgusting. My husband had a tasteless chilli.The pub is filthy and could do with a good clean, cob webs hanging from the wall lamps and pictures.There was a strong smell of "old" cooking fat which made our hair and clothes smell .I don't know what has happened it used to be so nice (last year).I really hope it improves in the future as I love to visit in the summer months.

Food was lovely. Great selection of beers. Staff helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend. X

We all went here for a meal after my brothers funeral. They looked after us all so well. Food was fantastic. Thank you so much for helping us through a difficult day.

Second time waiting here this month and it was great both times . Yesterday was a lovely beef Sunday lunch portion size is great beef beautifully cooked as was the veg no floppy overdone carrots here .Just be warned portions Arte generous my partner had the light bite and it was almost as big as my main and the main was definitely of a good size .Highly recommended for food and beer be even better once it warms up a d that beer garden can be utilised .

You have a waitress I believe to be called maddie who gave me an unsatisfactory service . She petted my dog for longer than she actually served me and then shouted for me not to tell anyone . The rest of the service staff were spot on but just wanted to make my complaint noted. The food was lovely though

Had roast beef dinner here. Very generous portions. Staff very polite & friendly. Would recommend a visit

As a good pub should be, the New Inn served 9 of us out for an 8 mile walk, with excellent food accompanied by equally good drinks. For me, 6 excellent cask beers was a bonus. As others have mentioned, the Lite Bites menu is a good place to start. I for one will definitely be back.
