Oakland Village Bistro, Bar and Restaurant in South Derbyshire

Only went to be vaccinated but looks a nice venue.

My relative was transferred to Oaklands from hospital & although tested negative for Covid before discharge was put into isolation for 14 days. When we asked about visiting we were told that it was OK but would have to be behind glass. Fair enough we thought. However we were not told that the visit would mean that we would have to stay outside and shout up to her room. As she cannot stand up on her own she had to be held up by carers. It was raining and cold outside. One of the visitors is disabled. The conversations were impossible and private matters had to be shouted for everyone to hear. I consider this treatment to be abominable for anyone but particularly for elderly people. Surely there is one room in this very large complex that could be turned into a safe isolation visiting room. Disgusting treatment to any human beings let alone vulnerable elderly people.

Only came here for my booster jab, but it was all laid out very well, and helpful volunteers made the process relatively swift. Since it was a one-way system through the vaccination room, I got to have a look around the outside of the building en-route back to the main entrance, and it looks really nice. Tidy, modern, and they appear to have excellent facilities.

Had a lovely meal for my daughter's birthday with family and friends yesterday as usual staff were brilliant ! A safe and friendly venue highly recommended.

Only went for another covid jab,lots of parking well organized and whilst waiting my 15 mins I was entertained by the kitchen staff singing Christmas songs .

Only used Oakland to have all 3 of my vaccinations. Well organised, friendly team, top marks. Thank you to everyone involved.

Nice restaurant, you don't need to b a resident to eat here,but on this occasion I was getting my booster jab.

Went there to get booster vaccination. Hats off to the NHS staff who work tirelessly to get the nation boosted to prevent COVID spread.

Went for mybooster jab there lovely and clean ,warm and well organised out in 20 mins

Only went there for my covid booster so don't really know what the cafe food tastes like
