Prezzo in South Derbyshire

Booked a meal to treat a couple of friends as l have already been many times and enjoyed the meals.As we arrived at Lunchtime the manager said we have no fish no burgers but everything else should be okay.We waited about 25 minutes for the order to be taken and ordered 2 lasagna and 1 goats cheese Al forms.When the food d arrived the waitress only bought the lasagna, and said sorry we have no goats cheese, so do you want to order something else which means my 2 friends had to eat alone, so l ordered another lasagna which l did not have to wait to long but it was embarrassing when this was a treat for my friends.After we finished we decided to look at the desert menu, the waitress said the only choice you have is Tiramisu, ice cream or fudge cake, l asked the waitress was is happening with all these shortages she said we have had no deliveries but apologised again.My Friends enjoyed the tiramisu but the fudge cake was very dry.After we finished the waitress decided to not charge for the fudge cake as it was so dry and did not charge for the service.l am not sure what is happening at this restaurant, if the management has changed but l will definitely not go back.

Pre booked and quizzed about how we were paying before we were shown to our table. We'd had a gift card given us for Christmas and as we asked for the bill, this was taken from the table and used before we'd seen the bill. Plus a service charge was automatically added to our bill which I object to anywhere and prefer to cash tip. Will not be eating here again based upon this and our pre Christmas experience.

This restaurant is very chic inside. Clean lines and gorgeous lighting. What a shame we were initially sat at a tiny table for the two of us - maybe it was because we were using a voucher for the set menu which was a Christmas gift to us - more about that later! We were grudgingly moved to a larger table where we looked over the menu. Drinks first - a gin and tonic which the server kindly pointed out wasn’t a part of the set menu - I hadn’t expected it to be!! We ordered our food - I ordered a pizza from the main menu which the server again kindly pointed out would incur an extra charge - as I expected.The food, when it finally arrived, was delicious. The problem was the miserable, arrogant, surly, disengaged, ignorant staff sloping around the restaurant in their skin tight leg wear and sloppy tops. A smile would have helped, some conversation might make us feel more inclined to return. But after two hours and 20 minutes, we got our coats on to go. We couldn’t wait any longer for an after dinner coffee.And we won’t return to this miserable place … we would rather spend our vouchers and money somewhere where the staff actually want us to be there.

Amazing staff here, who were able to accommodate to my needs. Asked to be in a booth on the end, as we wanted to have a bit of distance due to covid, and they reserved it for us. The food was lovely, especially the pasta and lasagne.

We love eating at Prezzo in Swadlincote. The staff are so nice and friendly. The food is spot on 👌, Thank you chefs! We had the Valentines 'special menu' it was really nice.... One minor criticism, please change the dead plant at the bottom of the stairs, the one in the damaged pot (needs changing too) . Everywhere else is beautiful. See you again soon.

We have been to Prezzos a few times and could not fault it but this time it was terrible. We arrived at 16.30 and all seamed OK, we ordered drinks and then food. This was sorted by 17.00, we waited about 30 minutes before the starters arrived which we enjoyed. After an hour of waiting I asked about our meals and was told they would be along shortly, another hour passed and I was told, sorry for the delay but they were short staffed and the meal would be brought to us very soon as they were just putting it up. 15 minutes later it arrived and to say we were disappointed is an understatement, out of the 9 meals 7 were either stodgy or lacking flavour, 1 was sent back because it was barely warm and when returned was barely eatable, all the other meals baring 2 of the pizzas had a large potion left on the plates uneaten, we had waited over 2 and1/2 hours for rubbish meals and to say we were annoyed and upset is putting it mildly. I cannot complain about the staff as they were apologetic and did there best in a situation that was out of there control and the star rating is not directed on them. We were offered a 30% reduction in the cost of the bill which we declined and said we would pay for the drinks but not the meal, then after further discussion they accepted. Will we be going back, not a hope in hell.

Experienced another enjoyable evening and meal at Prezzo Swadlincote.We've been here at least a half dozen times choosing to use our Tesco Clubcard vouchers which triple up to turn £10 of vouchers into £30 to use against a meal here... you can't go wrong...Without vouchers, expect to pay around £20 per head for a two course and £27 for a 3 course plus your drinks.I never struggle to find several meal options to choose from the menu and haven't been disappointed with my choices so far.The staff are friendly, attentive and seem intuitive enough to know when it's appropriate to engage in conversation or leave you in peace.The meatball starter is always a delicious choice but I went for crispy mozzarella with a spicy caprese ketchup this time. The presentation wasn't anything special but was still a very nice sized starter with the caprese ketchup giving it a little kick.The main courses were Oak Smoked Salmon Penne and Tre Carni Calzone, the Penne being the lighter of the two meals. The Calzone is very nicely presented with a dressed side salad and a sauce boat filled with a tomato sauce.As ever with a Calzone the ends have little or no filling (this is where the sauce boat comes in) and you slowly work to the centre where the main event lies. Full of flavour and very tasty I'd happily have this meal every time.I only got to try a fork full of the salmon dish but that might be my choice on the next visit 😋With ample free parking outside, the restaurant itself looks clean, classy with several different seating style areas catering for family groups or intimate couples.It also has a gallery seating area where you can overlook the downstairs and bar area if you like a little bit of people watching with your conversation and meal.Very impressed, I can see why it was one of the restaurants that survived the Prezzo cull before and during lockdown and will be back for more in the near future.

We received our starters before our drinks so not a great start. The lady sat at the next table had her coat on while eating her meal, I soon understood why.. it was really quite chilly where we were sat and I kept my scarf on most of the time we were there . Mains were nice and tasty we had a chicken burger and lasagne. There was a little confusion over the bill as I had my tesco club card vouchers to use but the manager came over to sort out and gave me a voucher for the next time we visit which I thought was nice. But I'll wear a jumper next time I go 😁

Took my daughter here for her 21st as we just let her choose where she wanted to go and we would pay. All I can say from start to finish the evening was brilliant. I normally wouldn't choose Italian food myself as normally I'm more a Chinese food but it was her choice and it really was brilliant. The food was excellent and plentiful as for the service it was fantastic we all really enjoyed it and will definitely return again in the near future. I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you for making our evening a great one & more importantly making my daughters 21st even more special.

Excellent and safe experience. The greeter very clearly explained the COVID procedures when we arrived and these were adhered to by all diners.Very impressed with all of the food we ordered. 10/10 for meatball starters, Lasagne, Salmon Penne pasta and Chocolate Fudge cake. My wife said it was the best Fudge cake she had ever tasted. The service provided by Callum was first class, he was so efficient, accommodating and friendly.Very clean Restaurant.
