Lovely home cooking. Best pie I've had in a long, long time. Thanks, good wholesome food well cooked. Pint of real ale properly served to go with. Delicious! Sensible price too

Very friendly and welcoming village pub. Good selection of drinks including some well kept real ales. Well worth a visit.

Lovely food - family gathering had three course lunch - couldn't fault it. Salmon was delicious, piping hot, plenty to eat, good service.

·

Good, large portions of tasty food. Good table service. Beers good as well. Worth a visit.

·

Food good as always but disappointed no IPA or genuine ales on tap or in bottles! So good restaurant let down by poor bar offering. We will go back no doubt and hope the bar has raised its game.

A great local pub. Visited for a private party and we were well looked after. All staff were friendly and professional. Food was superb. The pie was loaded with meat and was very tasty. Nothing was a problem for the staff. 2 enjoyable ales were available (Harvest Pale and Bass).I would definitely visit again.

Myself, Wife and 2 teenagers had 3 sirloin steaks and the Aberdeen Angus burger. The food was excellent, the steaks, all medium rare were succulent. Just one criticism that prevents 5 star plus is the table size, for 4 us we were just too cramped and ended up adding an additional double table to ours to make it comfortable to enjoy our meal. The staff were excellent, very welcoming andcattentive

We knew of the good reputation of this pub through friends who know it. We went to a private function - a celebration of a dear friend's life, actually - and it was excellent. The hospitality provided was excellent and the atmosphere was comfortable and friendly. The parking is easy. The whole experience was very positive.

I will not be going back to this pub after yesterday’s lunchtime disaster, firstly I booked a table but wasn’t given a choice of either the bar area or so called restaurant! So we asked to sit in the bar but we’re told we had to sit at the table reserved for us in the restaurant even though there was a free table free in the bar, as there was hardly anyone in the bar, surprise surprise! So looking at the very small menu which doesn’t cater for vegetarians or any other dietary requirement. One of us wanted a filled cob but we’re told we couldn’t have this in the restaurant, so why did you give us this option on the menu in the restaurant?? Another asked for a dinner which was on the other side of the menu for a two course meal for £11.95 but she only wanted one course and was told yes, you can have that. When the meal came the plates were so hot the food was still cooking on then and a big health and safety issue. After finishing the meal, which was ok but certainly not the best meal by far we went to pay the bill but they had charged us the full £11.95 even though she only had one course, the woman who took our order said that was the price which she thought was extremely good value and was offered a takeaway sweet!!So, if you want to be told where to sit and not be given a correct menu for the area you are sitting in and you are a vegetarian, gluten free, diabetic or have a nut allergy DO NOT GO HERE!
