Toons carpet and furniture centre in South Derbyshire

We did look around for some flooring for kitchen, hall and sitting room, decided that Toons had the best choice, and price. Kevin, the fitter did a great job, very pleased.A couple of months later, we replaced our bedroom carpet, together with stairs and landing, we had advice from staff about which carpet was best, again fitters did a great job. Also, thanks to Mark for a fantastic repair on our floor.Very happy to support a local, independent business, thank you Paul and your staff.

The showrooms are much bigger than they appear from the road. Great selection of rugs and very knowledgeable salesman.

Only given one star because I can’t give a minus.We bought two Italia Living white leather sofas from Toons. After only a few months the colour started to come off one of them in various places.We contacted Toons and one of their customer service team came to examine the sofa, They wanted an inspection by an expert. To cut a long story short we actually had three “experts” examine our sofa. They alleged that the colour loss was due to the way we were sitting on the sofa and our clothes were rubbing the colour off !!! Yes sounds ridiculous, what are you supposed to do with a sofa?Toons told us ‘because no fault has been found we now consider the matter closed and no further communication will be entered into regarding this issue’.We were therefore left with a white leather sofa with unsightly grey showing through where the colour had come off.We purchased the sofas with interest free credit arranged through Toons, we contacted the finance company and made a claim under S75. They initially agreed with Toons, based on the so called “experts” reports.At this point we engaged a solicitor and also our own inspection. Barrdale Furniture Inspections carried out a very thorough inspection and gave us a comprehensive report. The report confirmed our thoughts, the colour loss WAS due to a manufacturing fault when the leather was processed. Barrdale also pointed out several other faults with both sofas.We forwarded our expert report to our solicitor and the finance company. Our solicitor considered we had a good case against Toons. The finance company sent the report to Toons for their consideration. Unbelievably Toons still denied there was a manufacturing fault.However, the finance company reconsidered our complaint in light of our report. I am happy to say we reached a settlement with them and have received a full refund of the cost of the sofas plus the cost of getting our own report. This was despite Toons managing director stating there was no fault.Our treatment by Toons is the worst customer service we have ever experienced and we will certainly not be buying anything from Toons in the future.Make up your mind if you want to risk this happening to you.

Great store and also a super cafe at the back. Cafe offers lovely food at reasonable prices. Some beautiful, great quality furniture in store and good flexible finance offers if you need to spread the cost.

Quite nice but boring furniture at very expensive prices. Cafe was quite good. Each to their own but I came away the opposite of inspired, whatever that is!

We didn't actually go to look around towns, but to get coffee and cake from the honey pot tea room inside, which was delicious. We've not been to this branch before but it was lovely as ever and staff friendly.

Honeypot Tea Rooms inside Toons!! Amazing. I had the Scottish breakfast,absolutely delicious,best black pudding I've ever had. And I daren't step off the walkway and venture into the showroom,beautiful furniture and decorations.

I purchased a hypnose double bed and found a small fault. This was resolved very efficiently and would not hesitate to purchase from Toons again. Thank you Toons for very pleasant efficient customer service
