1498 The Spice Affair in South Holland

We've been here 3 times now and have never been disappointed. The food always taste fresh with plenty of flavour and the service is friendly too. You might have to wait a bit after you order but the food is worth the wait in my opinion. It's slightly off the main high street in Peterborough but still very central. Toilets have always been very clean which is also a good sign of a well-kept restaurant, we'll definitely come back for a 4th time!

Friendly staff and very attentive. Beautiful fresh spacious restaurant ..food is awesome with original Indian flavour... amazingly tasty and you can tell its fresh. Have had takeaway service from here as well and it is equally as good. Highly recommended.

Arrived late in Peterborough, too late for the hotel restaurant, headed out to try 1498 The Spice Affair restaurant, having no idea about Peterborough restaurants, so just took pot luck.What a lovely surprise, kept it light as it was quite late and went for the Lentil soup and Vegetable Biryanis and I’m normally a meat dish lover, but the Spices and Flavours in both dishes were absolutely sublime.Feels like I’ve just found my favourite 2022 restaurant for sure.Highly recommended.

Had a great meal at 1498 last night. Brilliant food, great staff and lovely ambience. If you've not been it's somewhere to try and enjoy traditional Goan food. The crab was delicious and totally different to anything else.

I have fallen in love with this place! The food is amazing, I have not tried anything like that in Peterborough, and believe me there are plenty Indian restaurants here. The food is something I would definitelly cook at home! Told all my friends already and looking forward to coming back!

Good food , staff and very good chef been couple of time and the chef surprised me with the dish sure recommend and being vegetarian they had good choice 🙂

I had been to this restaurant food was so yummy and delicious, It made me remind of India the exact taste, flavour and spices I very strongly recommend everyone to go and enjoy the food in this restaurant.

Unique and well presented food. Good service. I was aware this place had opened at what was The Flying Services Club, Priestgate. Looking for non meat options it succeeded in satisfying me. A well presented samosa, the mixed veg biryani came in a bowl with boiled egg inside and covered with naan bread. I tried the layered coconut dessert to round things off. Good selection of drinks. Delicious.

I don’t want to let people know about this place because it is so amazing I really want to keep this find for myself
