Poor service. Unable to take our order after phoning ahead and arriving 20 minutes late. Staff busy eating at the bar instead of taking our order. Wine unavailable, beer choices limited. We phoned before we came and said we will be late so staff should let us know. Poor communication skills. And thank you for your reply , didn’t asked to provide your full menu. Staff definitely not a robots and should have a brake where can have their meal.

Been several times now, mid-week Saturday, Sunday lunch & each time the food was lovely, staff are fantastic. Nice atmosphere all very friendly. The beers are an acquired taste 😋 all in all would recommend.

Lovely venue with clean comfortable seating area. Very friendly staff. Had to return our soup as was described as vegetable but came out as roughly cut boiled cabbage in water. No seasoning or consistency as you would expect. Looked like cabbage in boiled water. Changed for a sandwich which was lovely. This was let down by the garnish of salad leaves which had no dressing and was dry, brown leaves on one sprig and a clump of slimy leaves that were clearly decomposing. Very sad as the venue and staff are so nice. You Need to employ kitchen staff that understand when food is not acceptable to serve. While we were there a couple also returned their meals . This is the first time I have ever returned food and raised a concern. I am 61 years old eat and out at least twice a week. I have just read similar reviews on this website and would like to encourage the management to sort out the kitchen staff as this could be a very good restaurant that is losing custom and letting the front of house team down through an unacceptable level of kitchen service. Front house staff 10/10 you have got it right.

Disappointed is a understatement. We went here for mother's day hoping to have a lovely meal but left hungry. We ordered roast lamb, which most of it wasn't lamb it was pure fat!!! The parsnips weren't cooked and the potatoes were rock sold. Half of the food on the plage was cold. I definitely won't be eating here again.

I didn't have food, but they were 3 tables that complained whilst there. Then a waitress who was loud telling the whole pub that someone in an accident had their spleen removed whilst eating. No, no, no. Please get staff that have brains 🧠 and not loud whilst people are dining. Seriously. Sort it out

I can only really vouch for the service for drinks. The visit was on a weekday evening. Friendly staff with good knowledge of an excellent range of beers and ales. Nice to have somewhere local just to talk and have a drink with friends. Thanks.

Terrible customer service. Waiting time between meals was way to long. Missing food. The lady got very rude when approached about the food and there was no attempt to resolve it. I was told to remind restaurants in future when booking that Im bringing along a child even though when I booked we said that we would need a high chair. Seafood platter was a huge disappointment no bread with platter, crab or serving plates just cockles, warm prawns mixed with cold seafood and two pots of muscles and salmon. Such a shame as this restaurant use to be very nice. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Great decor. Reasonably priced great food, staff very helpful on the whole with the exception of one young waiter who is probably new. When we had an issue with our food after she asked how things were she just giggled and walked off?? We had to draw the attention of another member of staff to have our issue corrected?? Which was done to our satisfaction. Oh and, while in the middle of a pandemic with rising cases of COVID-19, she also has a persistent cough and wasn't bothering to wear a face covering of cleaning her hands after coughing into them??

Wonderful pub. The staff were all friendly and knowledgable about the menu, the chef is talented and creative and the restaurant is very tastefully decorated. The coffee was the best coffee I've had east of Leicester. Would thoroughly recommend
