A very long day with an early start meant I needed to stop over night, my brother found this place and booked it, really friendly staff excellent food and nice clean and basic rooms We both slept well

Alice and Noel are excellent hosts. Nothing is too much.The rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday with fresh towels. The rooms are large with a small kitchenette/dining area and a functional shower room with a spacious walk in shower. The beds are comfy and I have had an excellent nights sleep every night of my stay.The food that Noel cooked each evening was of excellent quality and very generous portion sizes, very well presented and delicious.I was here working locally. I stayed in a travel lodge the week prior and this place smashes that out of the water. The price is very reasonable and you get free WiFi too. I wish I had found this place first.As the work has overrun I will be coming back to the area and I will be staying here again.

Brilliant local pub, home made food and very nice staff, there Covid measures are great and they can’t do any more it’s down to us.Land lord and Lady are really friendly and very accommodating, there rooms are great value clean and tidy, they have some bigger rooms at the rear which again great value. Worth a stop if going past Sutton bridge.

Great Guinness, Sat outside drinking watching the world go past. Room was nice and clean . Comfortable bed

Lovely local proper English pub. They serve some wonderful food at very good prices and superb portions. All the food is home made by a talented chef. Very friendly staff and also the regulars. Things going on every week, karaoke, bbq quiz night etc. I believe they may also have rooms. I love this place and have only been a couple of times. I will definitely be going more often. Thank you guys for making me feel at home. See you soon.

What can I say about this place...... absolutely one of the best meals I have eaten while working away. Lamb steaks were cooked to perfection. Strawberry pie I was a bit sceptical about this but wow. If you like home cooked food at great value and a smile with the service this is the place to go. If I could give higher marks I would. Thank you guys delightful.
