Pleasant location. Nice welcoming staff. If the prices were a bit lower I would give 5 stars.

·

Very welcoming public in a beautiful location. Kindly accommodate our knitting and crochet group alternate Mondays ☺️

·

Very good food. Little pricey but delicious and a beautiful quiet spot near the River difficult to stumble on but worth a visit

Stay here as a Pub Stopover, didn't book but no problem to stay. The lady behind the bar very pleasant. We had a meal in the evening. Good food, great chips, really the best chips I ever had. We had a bottle of wine with our meal, we had the house wine. Which was nice, We did have a problem with the price. Which was £21.00 a bottle, over the top.No services, just parking and a defibrillator. Very quiet at night. Nice spot. Would I go back, no. To expensive.

Very welcoming and pet friendly, lovely food at a great price! We will be visiting again.Thank you. 😊

This is a rare gem. A quintessential pub. Roaring fire, locals at the bar, dogs welcome but the food is the STAR. We had gammon and the pork chop. The gammon was superb and the chips were brilliant. The pork chop turned out to be 2 with 2 Lincolnshire sausages and a gravy that was perfect. Service was exceptionally good indeed. Living far away I would genuine consider this a destination around which to base a day trip. Exceptional.

Amazing food, lovely building and really lovely staff. Wasn't cheap but I'd say worth the price, also really appreciate how the staff looked after the children. Bringing out colouring pencils and paper and then pinning it up the results on the wall to their delight. Will definitely be back :)

Very disappointed as it is a lovely place but service was poor and food availability on restricted menu was bad with too many "not available" Sirloin steak was small, dry, cool and not cooked to order. Gammon with egg was over cooked and dry with egg hard. Chicken supreme was the worst ever interpretation of the dish and was left on the plate. A comment/complaint was made to waitress but nobody from management bothered to follow it up. Over priced with out a doubt and certainly not value for money in any way. Absolutely will never return to the place.

First off let me say the only good thing about this establishment is the view. The wait was ridiculous, the person behind the bar doesn’t know how to spell. The price of £12.95 for a ploughman’s which isn’t substantial is over priced. The chips were okay. I won’t be coming here again.

We didn't stay here,we came for a family lunch. Party of 8. All the food came as ordered. Perfect rare steaks, good fish and chips. Would only suggest getting some fruit shoots or similar for 2 year old. I would guess that there maybe a new manager,as service was better than other times visiting
