Good variety of drinks, friendly people. Inside vast improvement. 🙂🙂🙂 Fab food. Definitely becoming more popular 😉

We did not actually stay, as they are doing a lot of work to the pub. There's is only one place to park. Looks nice inside. possibly if passing may come back.

amazing room. the staff were so nice to the point you'd think you’d known them for years just talking to them, one of the best hotels i’ve been to hospitality wise. they’re so friendly and will go above and beyond to make you comfortable and make sure everything is okay. their food is absolutely outstanding. has so much character and i couldn’t recommend it more

New owners have spruced the place up. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was good with a pretty good menu. Recommended

This hotel is going through major refurbishment, will be a superb place when completed, hopefully very soon, I have just spent a week there, and can't wait to return in 3 weeks time, Arma and his team are superb hosts, nothing is to much trouble, it's like home from home, it's in a great spot for single,or family's, if your passing check it out, u won't be disappointed, and the land curry is a must, so tender and made any way you like it,I wish all the team at Riverside the very best, running a hotel the way it should be, can't wait to meet up againRoy from Newcastle

The new management team have done a fantastic job renovating the whole place! Lovely bar area and rooms.

I love this place, you can get a pint and sit with your toes in the river, down to earth staff, food and even though it's next to the a16, because it's at a lower level you barely notice.It's a proper scampi and chips pub not an overpriced gastro pink salt pub.

Food was fantastic, huge portions which were delicious. Staff friendly and helpful. Prices reasonable, decor nice and clean. All in all a good experience. Would definitely recommend the food.
