After reading several of the reviews i felt the need to give my experience as people are always quick to judge and slate small businesses on social media after the fact rather that speak to them there and then to try and rectify it.I have been into the coffee shop a number of times both on my own and with friends, i have always been greeted with a smile and positive attitude. Being a smaller shop i don’t expect fast food but rather quality food which is what i have had on all occasions i’ve been in.I understand people expect service as quick as a MD’s or a Spoons but this is little gem of a coffee shop so it can get busy due to its popularity so waits occur from time to time, to me this isn’t a big deal as it give me time to sit down and relax which is what should be done in these coffee shops.Keep up the good work and see you soon.

I can’t fault this place, it’s a lovely little quirky coffee shop with freshly baked goods and a great atmosphere. It’s nice to see and support small businesses rather than the big chains. The staff are always so lovely and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely return.

Went in, no welcome - and it wasn’t busy (1pm). Ordered and paid, saw the pre cooked bacon and sausages put in the microwave, had the sandwiches brought over and the meat was still cold. No one looked over or asked anything was okay. General feeling of can’t be bothered. Approach this place with caution. A slight dampener on an otherwise lovely sunny Sunday!

If you enjoy a really good Cappuccino, then look no further! A very warm welcome awaits you at the Godsey Lane Coffee shop, along with tasty breakfast/lunch choices (I recommend the Bacon sarnie) & a delicious selection of cakes. You have to be strong willed not to be tempted! Lovely atmosphere & the pods in the Courtyard are excellent if the cafe is busy. Our go to place for a coffee & meeting friends. Ruth & Ken

Little bit more energy needed from the staff on a beautiful Sunday morning. Coffee just wasn’t great, wishy washy was the best way to describe it. These are all easy things to rectify with a good bit of management. Lovely decor and nice space outside.

The coffee (flat white) was actually quite nice once it had cooled down albeit the milk was steamed too hot . However, on two separate occasions they were unable to serve lunch to my family (2 adults and 2 children). The first time they were too behind with the food orders so refused to make food even after we waited 20 minutes. The second time we arrived at 1328 (they closed at 1400) and they had 'finished' making any food.I understand it's a small place. The first time there appeared to be numerous older staff but they didn't appear to be working efficiently and were in each other's way resulting in a dropped order. The second time I got the impression that the young server wasn't particularly interested in our custom.I don't feel this is acceptable, even in a popular place, especially given rising prices and wages.

Very nice and cosy, the mocha was the best I've had in a long time, definitely recommend.Went again recently and the cakes are as good as ever and they have one of the best brownies I've tried!Nice to see it open and thriving after all the lockdowns.
