Golden Fry in South Kesteven

So I have been going to golden fry as a go to chippy for about 5 years and has never missed/messed anything up. Tonight along with other nights was exceptional delivery time with being delivered in a whopping 12 mins from order confirmation. Very recommended.

I've ordered from this place for years tonight has got to be the worst kebab I've ever had forgotten some of the order and for 20 pounds worth of food what a joke phoned up to a very rude man on the phone then told never to phone or come there again really gone down hill AVOID !!

Me and my sister are visiting my mums tonight so we are not from this area. We ordered £30 worth of food. My meal was fish and chips with curry sauce and the curry sauce wasn’t in the bag and I don’t like dry fish and chips. I tried the chips on their own as I’m so hungry and they were just dry and tasteless. Complete waste of money for my meal. I phoned up and explained over the phone to be told we are too far away to bring the curry sauce back even though it should have been in the bag in the first place. The lady on the phone tried explaining she could put the money back onto my just eat account which I tried to explain wouldn’t have benefited me because it was my sister who ordered on her just eat account not mine. I couldn’t eat any of my food dry so both my food and money was wasted. The lady then sounded rude on the phone when I didn’t understand what she was trying to tell me which made me feel uncomfortable, it wasn’t good customer service at all. Busy or not, Everything we paid for should have been in the bag. Why is no one checking the bags to check everything is in there before they leave? :/

golden fry is possibly the best take away ever! The fish totally amazing, then lets talk about chicken kebabs!!!! i am saying, if you want a take away! these guys are 100%!!!!!

Absolutely rammal yas need closing down don't even taste like chips mcdonalds floppy chips are better than ul ever be able to cook.ur standards have gone and so should your shop

Worse chicken meat and chips I've ever had chips full of fat not been drained and mayonnaise really horrible taste, chicken meat no flavour or anything

Such a shame to see Golden Fry's standards slip so much. Order was placed via Just eat and after 1 hour we received notification that the order was on the way. Fantastic! After 40 minutes we were concerned that we had not received the order and we may get cold food. We called them and a very polite lady answered the phone. She asked me to hold whilst she chased the order and I heard a guy say "It's left...... 10 mins" which she politely relayed. I asked how long it had been gone but she would only say it would be with me in 10 minutes. It didn't arrive in 10 but did in 20 minutes and it was stone cold when we unwrapped it, which makes me believe it had been on the road for a good hour. Of course we have tried calling but no one picking up, as if they are expecting it. Just eat obviously take no responsibility and are not interested in solution.One positive from this experience is that after such a long time on the road, the fat and oil in the meal had congealed and I am thankful for not eating it!

The golden fry need more than 5 stars they delivered my order to.perfection I would not go anywhere else in grantham thank you for the best fish and chips and your sevise

Best fish and chips in the area as far as I'm concerned! Good choice of fish, pies, pizza, kebabs and burgers. You can order on line, or ring them, or face to face. They respond quickly and staff helpful. Free off road parking available. Huge portions of chips given. Can highly recommend and good value for money.

Order food over the phone, ask for a chicken burger meal with coke and curry sauce x 2... to get just the burger and curry sauce no chips and be told when I ring up this is how it comes ! Ridiculously priced for what it is and the service you receive... use charcoal grill far better food and price.
