Linfords Traditional Fish & Chips in South Kesteven

We ordered a meal for take away. Once we got home with it, we were really disappointed. Part of our order was a portion of chips for my mum but they’d forgotten to include it. My mum said not long after that she was glad because the chips we did get were not good. Rather soggy and full of brown bits. I’m not a fussy eater by any means but I couldn’t eat a lot of them.Giving two stars rather than one because the fish was nice!

Dine in.Hell of a Price increase. We ordered Cod and chips twice with a cup of tea and a small bottle of mineral water. £34.00.We had the same meal 2 months ago and it was only £23.00.Love the meal, but at these prices, I don't think we will be visiting the restaurant again.

My first visit to what is supposed to be a top chippie and was not overly impressed.Small portion which I understand due to cost but the chips were dry and not very nice

Great tasting chips and fish , absolutely loved the experience but found a public hair possibly a male gender (not assuming genders ) put me off my meal , the refused to give me a refund but apart from that I loved it ,

Staff weren't friendly, eg no smile, the fish was small and the cost was huge at £10.50 for medium fish and chips. I would not go here again, or recommend it.

Very disappointed with the food and the price. I understand prices are rising everywhere, but for this price I expected good quality food. The fish was tiny, with soggy batter and the chips were the scrappy left overs. To top it off by the time we had driven the 5 mins home it was cold! Won’t be going back 😔

The regular fish would of served two of us! The portions are brilliant, chips were a little dry bit the fish certainly made up for it! The large had to be cut into three to fit on a normal sized plate!! Also the child’s fish meal served two so had more than enough to share around! Will return Again and again

Oh dear, what has happened to the great fish and chip that Linfords use to do.I've just had a very disappointing Fish and chip take away from Linfords.The chips seemed to be chewy and not fresh, the fish batter was not crisp but soggy...I can only say the curry was ok,I think there new fryer has affected the quality.I had better fish and chips from the boundary down the road a few weeks ago.

Lovely fresh fish cooked to perfection with a crunchy and not greasy batter. Not overly expensive and friendly service.

Unfortunately the first and last time we use Linfords. Extremely disappointed with the portion size and how overpriced it is too!! Wouldn't have been so bad if the food tasted nice, but it didn't.The 'regular' chips and large mushy peas looked like a portion size for a child, not an adult. Appreciate a pandemic is on and we all have a loss of earning, but it doesn't justify the high prices for so little in return.
