Red Lion in South Kesteven

Very accommodating of my vegan diet. I am not a fan of aubergine (which was the main ingredient of the main course), so they made me a mushroom risotto! The waitress was also lovely and made us feel very welcome.

Although we did not have a meal here, the Red Lion is a delightful old country pub with beautiful decor, low beams, and very comfortable seating. Lady behind the bar was welcoming and friendly. Nice beer on the handpump. Plenty of outside seating and large car park.

2nd visit amazing food. Just the right portion size. Leaves enough room for an awesome pudding, without feeling you are going to pop. Staff smiling, friendly and helpful. Landlord last night friendly an attentive and smiley. Interesting building works out the back looking forward to seeing and enjoying the end result. Just an awesome village pub...love it

Lovely, relaxed atmosphere, surrounds and very competent, polite discreet staff who served and engaged with us providing an excellent menu for ourselves, son and daughter in law and two grandchildren.A delicious enjoyable all round relaxed and well priced experience. Thank you.

We had my 50th birthday party here. My daughter said they couldn’t have been any more helpful to make the arrangements easy. Amazing service and gorgeous food. I lost an earring from my late Mum during the evening, they went above and beyond and managed to get it back to me.

Great food, great service, reasonably priced. We went on a Sunday and the menu had a fantastic selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

So friendly and welcoming, have yet to experience anything but favourable in this delightful and quintessential English country pub. Food is well cooked and wholesome and a good range of real ales, wines and whatever may take your fancy. If visiting the village for the first time, please choose, it's far superior in every way to its nearest rival, in EVERY WAY!

Fabulous pub, bar staff very friendly, nothing too much trouble. We had Sunday roast and it was delicious, will definitely be visiting again!
