Had a takeaway from her a while back and it was delicious ordered again tonight and it was the most tastless meal I have had. Prawn rogan josh had too much heat and no flavour swimming in oil. Very disappointed. My fiancee had lamb byriani which she asked for mild. The veg curry was mild but also flavourless. The meat and rice part was nice though. The garlic rice had loads of garlic in it but didn't seem cooked and again tasteless. Overall we are very disappointed.

Great food, good portion sizes with big menu, good service, average facility. No alcohol licence and the charge you to bring your own.

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered. What was it, AWFUL. TASTELESS, SWIMMING IN OIL. THE WORST CURRY WE HAVE EVER HAD COULD NOT EAT IT . DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OUR £25 WENT IN THE BIN.

The most delicious Indian food I have ever eaten. Everything is so tasty. The vegetarian dishes are wonderful, for example the vegetable dhansak, and they are so generous with the vegetables and the sauce. I think about this food all the time. The staff are lovely and friendly. Eat in or take away - it's all good.

I've been using Shalimar for the last ten years and I'm pleased to say it's been consistently good. Rich and varied flavours throughout their range.However, a takeaway last night of a set menu for two was a disappointment. The lamb from the starter and main ( obviously from the same large cooked batch) was as tough as old leather that's had glue, treacle and my old flatmates gravy poured in it and left out in the sun to dry out for 3 days...If they can sort this out and get rid of this 'costcutting' exercise of precooking the lamb in large batches it'll continue to be one of the best takeaways in Bourne 😀

Had a delivery, it was absolutely delicious, but it was luke warm when it arrived which was a shame so ive marked down a star. Fair price, we ordered a butter chicken, korma, pilau rice and half a tandoori chicken, couldnt fault it would have paid £25ish for it and only paid £20 with a food hub voucher of £5(I work in a takeaway and i know how long it takes for food to go cold in heat bags, i wasnt sure if it was put in one on its journey to my house but i was pretty dissapointed that it was warm)I would order from here again

Consistently good food at a reasonable price. Monday and Tuesday evening are what they call 'Banquet Night' when a set meal of your choice is available at a great price, always a struggle to finish! 😁 Good service and friendly staff. A very pleasant surprise. After searching for a decent curry for myself and my partner, who is new to curry. After a search of the Internet I came across the Shalimar. What a great find! The food was excellent although portions were small making the meal for 2 over £30. That said, the food was great, service great and the leftovers taken away and consumed next day and still tasting great. Looking forward to my next visit. Give it a try.
