The Brownlow Arms in South Kesteven

As usual service was brilliant and food excellent. Highly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break at The Brownlow Arms in a beautifully appointed large room with every home comfort provided including fresh milk in the fridge!The food is amazing from the delicious cooked breakfast to the fabulous evening meals - we can thoroughly recommend the rack of lamb, fillet steak and the BlackBerry frangipan tart with BlackBerry sorbet. A roaring log fire and friendly helpful staff completed a perfect stay.

Lovely food!! I had the soufflé, it was amazing!! My friend had the kebabs but only got two very small pieces of chicken, on two skewers so that was disappointing. The venison with sloe jus was perfect!! So overall good and service was excellent.

Not been here for a while but found it excellent, great food and staff. Will visit again.

A fantastic family meal at a real hidden (in the depths of Lincolnshire countryside) gem! Attentive staff, amazing food (cheese soufflé is to die for), cozy ambience and a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect choice for a special birthday and I’d thoroughly recommend it!

Visited for a Sunday lunch with a group of four. Really lovely building and atmosphere inside, tastefully decorated with good table spacing and comfy chairs. However for a venue that charges premium prices it fell short in a few areas. We were asked to order within 2 minutes of sitting down and similar after our mains making it feel rushed ,missing cutlery at the table, petite fours were forgotten and had to be asked for, when asked how the beef was served we were informed it was pink but could be served well done, which was requested, but looked like it was grilled to achieve this so was dry. Nothing significantly wrong and overall the food was nice, but there are other venues that offer tastier food for a bit cheaper with better service. In all wouldn't rush back but wouldnt avoid either.

I visited the Brownlow Arms to have a Sunday lunch. The restaurant/pub offers very good food and service. Food is prepared and presented professionally: ingredients are locally sourced and dishes balanced, in terms of portions and flavour (starters and roasts are perfectly cooked). Staff is welcoming, kind and attentive to customer needs. Decor of the dining room conveys a very elegant atmosphere. Overall, a very pleasant place to have a meal. I strongly recommend it.

Visited on Thursday evening in a group and it couldn’t have been better. Relaxing environment, plush fittings and gracious and helpful staff waiting on. All in all, a five star experience. Highly recommended.
