Good food, generous portions along with good service and very good beers . What's not to like.

Great food, lovely setting, friendly staff, cute farm shop…. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed!

quite nice meal for meat eaters however very limited for vegetarians and vegans. particularly on the sunday roast there is no option for a vegetarian roast. it’s not hard to make a substitute such as a nut roast. in addition a dairy free pudding would be a great addition too.

Spotless rooms, gorgeous food, friendly owners and staff. Can't do enough for you. Good choice of drinks in the bar, and a farm shop with great meat which we always go to before leaving.

Meal lovely. steak cooked to perfection.. again, and I am very fussy about my steak. Servers who where there attentive even though busyish and only saw 2 of them. Only critique was the shortcake biscuit I had with the dessert, last time I had it it tasted freshly baked and warm and a bit more of it 😋 I was in heaven!

We stayed here en route from E Sussex to Lancashire. The rooms were fantastic with great attention to detail especially the shower head being high enough for my 2m frame!The food was to due for and the portions enormous ( and I can eat!). The staff were delightful from Lesley and John (mine hosts) to the lovely wait staff and Odin and Fergus the dogs.I can't wait for the chance to return

Our daughter treated us to a Christmas meal. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The food is the best we've had from a pub. We will be back as food is above normal portions and well worth the money x

Brilliant! Lovely food and such a nice stay. I've been back repeatedly to the restaurant and to stay. I've taken the family, I liked it so much.

The food portions are enormous. The pate starter could be half the size.Three sausages is one over the top 2 would be sufficient. The room was well presented. The breakfast coffee arrangement could be improved by having a coffee pot on the breakfast table. Generally I was impressed with the service,the staff and the ambiance.

Stopped overnight whilst visiting friends and ate in the pub.Lovely village location. Comfortable accomodation in a separate south-facing block of 4 rooms, overlooking a large lawn. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped.Food was good quality and plentiful with a wide menu. Breakfast was huge and really good quality.The pub has a farm shop in the grounds with a wide range of good quality local products.Owners and staff were really friendly and service was excellent.Will we go again: absolutely!
