The Cosy Club - Stamford in South Kesteven

Loved this place. First time we've been and it was a meeting for us of family we haven't seen for years. The ambience is superb and so is the food and drink.

Terrible staff who lack competence to take calls from customers. Spoke to staff at midday who gave me incorrect information, was told staff had been off due to covid but would be able to go as a walk in as this was a special occasion and had travelled for a family gathering. Upon calling at early evening the manager told me a completely different story about how they had been fully booked and hadn’t been accepting bookings or walk-ins since 2 days previous. Manager not only showed lack of understanding, he did not even apologise for a mix up caused by his own staff. What happened to good quality service?. Clearly incapable of offering it. Will avoid in future despite myself, and family being regulars. Birthday ruined by useless staff.

Dave o Shea my server was amazing. Such a great guy, so funny and had great knowledge of the menu and product. Made the meal. If you go make sure you have DaveO

Great food, very attentive staff and great atmosphere, well worth a visit

Very pretty and spacious. The service was great. I could have done with another slice of toast for my brunch. One small toast, avocado and poached eggs was more like a snack rather than a meal.

We booked a family lunch here for 3 generations - grandparents, parents and children. The table was pretty cosy with others but fine, and the welcome we received was very warm. Food was fantastic all round - dirty chicken burger is legendary - and though desserts were a bit slow, the servers kept us informed and were very apologetic. All in all a great lunch. We weren't in a rush and really enjoyed our visit.

Staff very good as usual. The new menu is much improved on the last one. Always a nice visit. We'll done guys.

Fantastic evening! The atmosphere was great.The staff were very friendly and efficient.The food was delicious and very well presented. I ate vegetarian for a change and I was very impressed with what was on offer.Finished off with the apple tarte... it was incredible!Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

I'm from Mexico and I'm visiting my bf here in the UK. We went to this place to have dinner. As soon as we arrived, the place was very quiet. Just a few people. We went to the reception area and I ask for a table, the waitress looked at me and she said she was going to ask her manager. She went away and it didn't appear that she spoke to anyone coz I just saw her go to ab extreme of the place and got back without doing anything. Then, she told me that the kitchen staff were too busy. So they couldn't give us a table. Behind us, there were a few people waiting for a table too, and it appears that they did get a table.It's a shame these kind of situations are still happening. Very disappointed in your way to treat tourist.Cheers!
