Advised no mushy peas so we were bought out crushed normal peasđ, fire was lit on arrival but quickly went out and it was freezing cold. Service took forever, for drinks and food. If you are vegan don't bother, was advised I could have a pea risotto, this consisted of normal rise with peas added..... if I wasn't so hungry I would have sent it back. Sane as someone else said. If it was the kind of pub it looks like it would be great. Not going back.

Decided to pop in for Sunday lunch and wonât be in a hurry back. After being seated we were quickly asked for drinks but we werenât given any menus. We asked for a menu but still it didnât come. When we had a chance we asked for the menu again, still nothing and still no drinks. Finally after about 20 minutes we got our drinks and a menu, our drink handed to us by the waitress who had her hands all over the rim of the glass. We asked if she could take our order, but she didnât have a pen so had to get someone else. For the amount of staff they had on Iâd expect a bit more of an attentive service. We shouldnât have to ask about our menus and drinks on multiple occasions. Especially as the place was more than half empty. The food was wasnât bad, a nice size portion of roast and the classic sides of veg.Itâs such a shame, looks like a great little spot to stop off for lunch and a drink but unfortunately the service does not reflect. With a little staff training this could be the place it looks from the outside.

Very bland experience. A lovely old pub has been "redecorated/ renovated'" to resemble an old school social bar. Limited choice of beers. However, staff very friendly and service good.

New ownership, friendly pub with good staff. Decor could do with a bit of work to make it more âpub likeâ, food was also decent. Will be going back!

Good food, good staff. Music too loud. Kids in the bar and behind the bar spoiled the overall evening.

Went today 6th Feb for Sunday lunch. Drinks service was quick but my pint was end of the barrel and had some sediment in it. Food was ok and nicely presented but not fantastic. Service was friendly enough. Unfortunately they had run out of my first choice of desert so I ordered an alternative (apple strudle) but unfortunately this was also served with the cardboard packaging underneath! Highlighted this to staff and they apologised but then awkwardly when it came to paying there were issues with our bill and had they had overcharged us for an extra desert and had actually missed off one of the drinks.Overall we were slightly disappointed as we had heard very good things about this place. We are hoping it was just an off day and would be happy to revisit

Lovely roast dinner. Beef was especially nice. Warm and friendly pub.

Not been in for a few years, but definitely will be back. Nice friendly village pub popped in for a drink and food with friends but no food being served on that day but went out of their way and put some pizza and chips on for us. Really appreciated and thank you đ we will be back

Very poor. Food was luke warm and didnât resemble what was on the website. Music was ridiculously loud as well. Not great service at all.

My friends and I decided to try somewhere other than the local pubs in Bourne. The gentleman behind the bar was an absolute delight and very welcoming. The place itself could use a little tlc however the food was beyond fantastic with a very modest price. We will definitely be going again.
