A packed pub Sunday lunchtime. A reasonably priced, very varied menu and a warm welcome as we entered. We ordered a roast dinner medium plate and it came roast chicken roast pots Yorkshire pud and a bowl of mixed veg and gravy. A hefty plate at a reasonable price pretty well cooked. A popular pub a charming welcoming landlady. So few masks about everyone seated close and no ventilation. Still feeling iffy after having a nasty three weeks with Covid I wanted to run for the door.

Good old fashion pub, great pint and large range of real ales. Perfect place to hide when the wife's shopping.I didn't have any food but it smells and looked amazing.9/10

We visited this pub on New Year's day and the staff were very friendly and attentive.My Mother is disabled and Mick assisted her which I am very grateful for.A spill was promptly dealt with.We'll def visit this pub again.With grategul appreciation ftom us all.

This is a lovely country pub with character decoration, bar and extensive outside seating area. For those in and out of the area I'd highly recommend a visit here.Claire was amazing. She's bubbly, friendly and full of character. Her attentiveness to our dietary requirements was second to none and we felt safe and confident knowing the food was going to be well catered for...Speaking of which, the food, simply put was phenomenal. This has been one of the best meals out I've ever had! A right little Gem in Stamford.

12 people went fir lunch at this pub. They went out of their way to accommodate us all . They were very friendly and helpful. I took my dog and they loved her. The food was lovely and hot. Would go again if we are that way.

Had to ask for the sparkler to be taken off the pump as the first pint of Ellie Mo? was fizzy and tasteless. Agreeable barman did so and second pint was fine. Very loud music playing 50s and 60s hits, locals singing along and some dancing. We enjoyed.

Great ploughman's lunch and a pint. Staff very helpful and friendly. They were very happy to swap some of the food items. Great place to spend an afternoon.
