The Leaf in South Kesteven

Excellent as always - guaranteed great service and delicious authentic food from the South Indian state of Kerala (God's Own Country).We visited after 1.5 years on a trip to Grantham, and this time we had Chicken 65, Kerala Beef curry, Kerala Porota, fluffy dosa with chutney, curd rice, and tea. Everything tasted fresh and yummy!Would love to visit again whenever possible.

Ram is such a lovely host and this restaurant never fails to deliver . We have been going to leaf for a few years . Kerala beef and parotha is a must try.

We went there yesterday for my parents 50th wedding anniversary and were quite disappointed. It looked quite grubby with about 8 tables. The service was average, our table didn't get cleared up and I had to go up and settle the bill as no-one came around to attend to us. The food was average and the masala dosa was definately a massive let down. It felt like the chef was away as they were cancelling take away orders with only 3 of the 8 tables occupied. I wish they had just rang us and cancelled our table instead of serving us mediocre food, if this was the case.

The food was nice however the decor inside the restaurant is very unappealing and off putting as it is a cluttered mess of miss matched designs. The waitress was not the most helpful and didn’t have much knowledge of the menu and was slow to collect our dirty plates. There were not appropriate glassware for water, only wine glasses were available and the cutlery was layer in the wrong side.

Food was nice, but as a food business owner myself, what you shouldn’t do:-Give someone free poppadoms and then charge for them.-provide water, (for the customer to have one sip, realise its sparkling and leave 99% of it) and then charge them.-keep £4 change as a tip without customer consent.A shame really, penny pinching never works. Would have gave a tip other wise and would have left 5 star………… My reply to your reply -> you’re a bare face liar. Glad we told the 3 women outside of your actions turnin them away 👍

Really nice South Indian food. I'm fussy, but this is taste bud worthy. Loved it

Me and my girlfriend stopped for one night in Grantham to break up a long drive and chosen to eat here as we both love a curry. The food here was exceptional! We've eaten at alot of indian/curry places and even spent a couple months in India myself. All the food was really tasty and truly authentic, portion sizes perfect (for us anyway and we have healthy appetite) which one of the staff helped with and told us that it would be enough for us both rather than happily letting spend more money than we had to. Highly recommended

We ordered takeaway from The Leaf Grantham, which came to £53. The Lamb biriyani was vile cooked in old oil, and the lamb was primarily fat and chewy.So-called fried prawns were just boiled in water with lemon juice and onions added.The vegetarian dish was contaminated with meat, so my partner, who is a vegetarian, was unable to eat.On the whole, it was the worst Indian food I ever had.I called the restaurant and offered to return the food, but they refused to refund since we had consumed some of it. The restaurant doesn't get a simple logic that one has to consume to say if the food was good or horrendous.

Delicious! Wonderful array of choices and fantastic flavours. Such kind hosts also to offer alternatives if certain things were unavailable at the time (and the alternatives were actually the highlight!). Will be going again to try out some of the other gorgeous dishes.

Celebrated a friend's birthday today at The Leaf and we have enjoyed every single dish. The seafood dishes were fresh and flavoursome. If you like Indian food and like something a bit different, this is definitely a place you'll need to try. Portion is good and price is very reasonable. Will definitely be visit again and take my friends to experience this hidden gem.
