The Model Fish Bar in South Kesteven

Not sure what's going on but at the start of lockdown and throughout the food was incredible, not sure what's happened lately but the chips we had were horrible so must be a change of potatoes or something and the battered sausage made my partner very unwell, making her have sickness for a whole 24 hours after taking one bite out of it

Great food , delicious crisp batter and fresh fish . Chips great too and service speedy and polite . The price paid very reasonable too

Last time I will be ordering from here the fish was old and hard and the chips were so hard couldn't eat them, when we had them at the start of lockdown they were the best, not sure if under new management but they need to get there finger out and get them back to how they were

Pre- ordered by phone for 18:20hrs, order not ready and server had a very poor attitude and was rude. Would not recommend based customer service. Very poor

Pleasant staff, and open, good fish and chips, generous portions, compared with riverside fish restaurant, which stops serving at 14.30.and informed us if we wanted a take away we could sit on benches by waste bins. This place doesn't deserve the the accolade it has. Model fish bar does.

Takeaway Fish & chips were ok. Nothing special, just ok. We visit the area in our caravan 3-4 times a year and for the life of us cannot fathom why on earth they take your order, then make you stand outside in the cold for 20, yes 20 minutes before serving you. There were 8 customers standing outside in the road, all moaning about it. 1 woman only ordered chips!! The resaurant wasn't busy at all. Maybe, to give the appearance that they are popular but, please stop it. The food is cooked and behind you. When a customer wants fish & chips, simply put it in paper wrapping and get them gone then serve the next person. It's not rocket science.

Delicious food. Myself and my partner had a burger and fish and chips. The food was delicious. Staff friendly and polite. Would highly recommend. Dropped in when looking for somewhere to have lunch and pubs were full. So happy we did. Much better than a pub lunch.

Not as good as used to be.Toilet very dirty.Also no great food higiene, my table was direct opposite the food cooking area and i was able to see a pile of fish waiting to be cooked and the fish was left out of the fridge for over 40 min before cooking also a box of sausages leftUnder the table.The long hair guy came from outside and started helping with the cooking he didn't have an apron on and after washing his hand he dried on his trousers and grab the fish🤢.

Great and fresh food, good portions, really fast service and staff with smiles on their faces. I can highly recommend :)
