The Tobie Norris in South Kesteven

We've eaten their twice recently. The bar itself has loads of charm and character and the staff are on point. The first experience was as part of a larger group and the food was pretty secondary. On the second occasion we popped in for lunch and it was a bit of an anticipointment. Still a lovely place though.

OMG! If you only go out for Sunday lunch once this year, go here. Absolutely fabulous food, very traditional home cooked. Great choice of meats, some starters you don't see on many menus and desserts to die for. Just be prepared to lose your trousers and sleep all afternoon!! Excellent location, brilliant friendly staff with great choice of real ales, gins and cider. Loved it and will be going back once I can shift the weight! 🤔😁 The shared whole chicken with seasonal veg was particularly gorgeous and the shared dipping chocolate plateau for dessert, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. Dogs very welcome.

Such a rare old boozer right up our St! Figuratively! Great beer great staff but you have to be nimble on those stairs! Do good looking food too tho didn't eat. Ancient charming building

Felt like I travelled back in time walking into this pub, but it was lovely, a really cosy feeling. I love that they have kept a lot of original old features. The service was okay. Really tasty chips!!

Visited before Christmas and was quite impressed with the food, the cheese board especially was impressive. So much so that we recommended to friends who joined us today.The experience could not have been more different, the Yorkshire pudding starter which last time had been lovely ,were on the burnt side, the three cheeseboards we had were small in comparison to the one from previously. We had been so impressed we had taken photos to share how good it looked.We also ordered on one ticket with the very helpful lady behind the bar, although paid separately. Only for the person who ordered in the middle of the 3 groups, to get and have fully complete his meal a good 20 mins before the rest of the food arrived, having been informed that "we had ordered on separate tickets" when we asked when the rest of the food would arrive. When advised that we had ordered altogether and the person who had eaten was the middle order, the response was "oh"Very very disappointed on this visit.

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic Sunday roast here, last weekend. The ancient pub is very atmospheric, with wood burners, steep stairs, and hidden rooms. My mother enjoyed a huge starter of pigs in blankets with roast potatoes, after which she didn't need a main course. The rest of the family enjoyed roasts, including a vegetarian Wellington and a meatless roast with all the trimmings. We shared two desserts, including an incredible apple and pear crumble and custard. The pub is very busy and you must be prepared to wait. Excellent service and thoroughly recommended.

We visited here on a Sunday fairly late as it seemed to be the only pub around serving food. We travelled from Tallington where we spent the night. We were not disappointed, it might have been the only choice but the food, drinks and service were all excellent. We visit Tallington regularly, normally eat locally, however in future we will come back here. Food quality, portion size and value for money were all brilliant. We sat in the beer garden, although small it still felt open.

A cozy and popular pub with fantastically tasting food and huge sized portions. Really good comfort/traditional pub food and a wide range of alcoholic beverages. The mayonnaise comes in big size Stokes packets which was impressive.

Rather nice detour from the A1 into Stamford and the welcoming Tobie Norris for a late Lunch. Pleasant menu with some rather novel dishes. Our Friend had an Indian Burger which was very good. My Husband had the Steak and Stout Pie and us Ladies chose from the Sandwich menu.
