Always enjoyed excellent food at good prices. The staff give a great deal of effort to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Called at the Woodhouse arms , while on my journey from skegness ,initial impressions , lovely interior , open fire , beams , semi olde worldly style , nice bar , very friendly staff , Initially went in to have a quick drink , upon seeing the menu decided to try the cauliflower and parmesan soup , and was not disappointed , amazingly good , really good infact , then decided to try the steak , which was cooked to perfection , absolutely amazing , so good infact I'm going again , it's a one hour drive ,but I do not mind travelling for reasonably priced good quality food !! This place is worth it !!

We have stayed here twice over the last six months. The rooms are lovely. Well furnished and large, with a small fridge, and fresh milk provided on arrival. A large selection of teas and coffees, etc. Breakfast is provided in the pub dining room, and the service with this is excellent, best poached egg I've ever had! If you want an evening meal the in the pub is excellent, but book in advance as it can get booked up quickly. Lastly the beer is good too!

Lovely welcome, sat by the fire while we chose our lunch menu, loved the fact that although the menu appears simple we were tempted to try all of it and we almost did ! What we had was very delicious and cooked to perfection, the staff was very friendly and polite, good sense of humour and the bill was perfectly reasonable for the high standard of the food we had.We are 40min away from that pub, but we will certainly drive all that way again to enjoy such good food in these surroundings, thank you very much !!

Good pub focusing on food but also with a selection of real ales. Also have three letting rooms at the rear. £99 deal (Bed breakfast and a contribution to an evening meal) good value. This deal must be booked direct. Staff always friendly and helpful.

Nice ambience. Good food but limited menu. Personable service. Waiting time quite long despite not being busy Would still say worth a visit
