White Lion in South Kesteven

Friendly local pub with lovely owners and staff. The food is always fresh and hot and the people are happy and cheerful. There are lots of drinks to choose from and a quiet beer garden to sit in. Ample parking and good views of the historic church to the front.

Fantastic Pub, we are not local but go whenever we can. Lovely food but the staff are always the highlight, nothing is too much trouble and it's just such a nice atmosphere. Great with kids, and they don't patronise them, its proper food on the kids menu too. I will certainly be back. Absolutely cannot praise them enough.

Lovely food and charming village pub, just off the A1 so easy for a stop off. Sing says 7 days a week but is actually closed on a Tuesday.

What a lovely place to spend an evening. We were driving from Scotland to Kent with a dog, so needed to break the journey. Stayed at the nearby Travelodge and walked to the White Lion for dinner. The landlord was friendly, welcoming and helpful, the young lad who served us was delightful, and the food was excellent - great portions, good prices and very yummy. Plenty of veggie and vegan choices, as well as steak and lots of pub classics. The butternut squash and feta filo pie was amazing. We sat in the grassy bit of the garden (up some steps), where there was a freshly-filled dog bowl, and she was very happy. We were so comfortable there we stuck around long after eating, to have a few more drinks and play cards. Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Lovely pub, we were lucky enough to visit while it was to extremely quiet, food is priced well and all staff are lovely. Especially the manager/fella behind the bar on the 31st July (think he was called Phil?)

Met up with friends we hadn't seen for over a year. A first time visit. Booking was straight forward and friendly. Nice atmosphere on arrival. We all chose from the special menu. Lovely hot food. All choices were delicious and filling. Good service too. Highly recommended for a pub supper!

Fantastic food and friendly service. Easy walk over off-oad public footpaths to Woolsthorpe Manor ((the birthplace of Sir Isaac Newton). This pub is well worth a visit if you're in the area (and perhaps even if you're not!). The beer was awesome too.

My partner and I stopped here briefly before heading off for the long drive back down south.It was a Sunday, so of course we were going to order a roast dinner! I had the Duck, she went for roast beef. I can honestly say the food blew my mind. The presentation was top notch, the portions of veg were very generous and the flavour was perfect.Priced extremely reasonably at less than £27, we were able to have two full meals and a drink each. Anyone travelling past, or in the area should definitely pop in. The staff were friendly and accommodating, given that we just turned up in their busiest hour.Located in the very picturesque village of Colsterworth this visit was a genuine delight.
