I am so disappointed! I never have given a bad review but I have to for how me and my friends were treated in this pub. I couldn't even muster as low as 1 star because I've never given so low, but honestly the attitude by what I assume it be the land lady here was utterly disgusting. Me and my mates are Brummies and are are used to friendly atmospheres and lovely staff, but here we were made to feel so out of place. The only saving grace was the pub was beautiful and thankfully for the owners of this pub their predecessors have saved them from an even lower review.

The lady serving behind the bar made me feel incredibly unwelcome, finished my drink as quick as possible and left for a much more welcoming pub.

Disgusting from the woman behind the bar, screamed at us for turning a tv on? The pub opposite the peacock is 1000x more friendly and welcoming

Nice pub but on the busy A5. Nowhere to park except over the road by the A5. Food good, when served but don't know if they do evening meals. Breakfast certainly and coffee and tea,served.

Stopped of here for a few drinks before a game v MK Don's.Nice clean pub with Friendly staff.Also has a pool table and darts on offer.

Stayed there last night i wouldnt even let my dog stay there absolutley filthy , staff where strange unkempt and unproffesional couldnt wait to get out of there do not bother wasting your money , do not let the pictures fool you

Possibly a half way house or doss house that looks like it rents rooms by the hour. Filthy, unfriendly and unsafe. Owners very dodgy and make you pay in full on arrival. Pictures say everything. Good reviews are clearly faked. Even if you’re desperate you are better off staying in your car. I left an hour after arrival and didn’t even sleep there but was charged £50! Awful place avoid it!

Stayed overnight. Room comfortable and everything you could need. Breakfast fabulous.

My partner and I stayed here as visiting Silverstone track. Perfect place to stop overnight as so close to Silverstone.Staff are super friendly and accommodating.The pub is certainly quirky and interesting decor, perhaps not what one would choose, but clean, tidy and comfortable.We did find the hall light at night very bright which made the room rather light, but easily blocked out with a towel at the door.Parking is a slight issue, but we did manage to park on the road. The advert states free parking.. Doesn't stipulate on street, so I think this needs to be updated.Other than that, super place to stay and very reasonable prices.

Look no further for true country hospitality here! Came upon this lovely venue when searching for a mid way pit stop between Cambridge and Stratford-upon-Avon and discovered the customer service is AAA+! I was made aware it is under new management and the manager/publican Tony was especially friendly and welcoming, even assisting us with our bags from our car parked across the street. These kinds of service enhancements and first impressions in budget accomodation truly standout and are much appreciated! Tony settled us into our room nicely which was very pleasant and comfortable. The period features of this 1650 inn add to its charm and character and make it worth the visit also. I loved ducking under the low ceiling beams and traipsing along the winding corridors to our upstairs room. There is a short walk to a nearby woodland park area which was lovely to stroll about too. Slept very well and our made to order English breakfast was generous and so delicious. Be sure to relax and enjoy a drink whilst having a chat with the lovely young bar manager ‘Meg’, she will delight your eyes and ears with her beauty and friendly conversation.
