First Sunday lunch at The Barley Mow was very enjoyable, the food and service was great.

Not great I'm afraid, I had beef which was tough and my husband had lamb which was fatty and also chewy. Only had 2 roast potatoes and the Yorkshires were burnt,. Would not recommend for Sunday lunch đ

Really tasty food in a quaint pub setting! Slightly slow service but they were down a chef. The food is delicious.

We had a great evening in this charming pub which has recently had a makeover, the bar staff just could nât do enough for us. In the end we gave in to the temptation to eat there as well which was absolutely amazing. Do visit this lovely little local.

This pub was a pleasure to dine at, it's very well kept and there are a few bar games to play, a rare thing to see these days. We sat in the restaurant area which was modern, but at the same time kept the character of the pub itself. GF menu was available and there were no problems with the food, so well done to the chef!! A very good visit, well worth a visit even just for a drink đ we will go again and no doubt enjoy it. Well done to the staff!!!

We dropped into the Barley Mow as we were passing through the area and are really pleased that we did. My wife and me were greeted warmly both by friendly bar staff and locals and were made to feel very welcome. We had chosen this pub as it was dog friendly and this proved very true with the offer of free dog treats, etc.A good range of gins and some nice, well kept ales in a really quant, old, multi-roomed pub with a roaring fire, beams, etc. Really cosy and atmospheric. The food we ordered was superb. My wife had the seafood risotto and I had the Sunday roast (pork loin). Both meals were delicious and plentiful. Again, pleasant, attentive and efficient service.Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit and, should the opportunity arise, we would be back like a shot!
