The Bull at Towcester in South Northamptonshire

Lovely set up, great garden if you have a young family. My glass had lipstick on it, it was changed when asked.We ordered for 12 people and I would not return here for food.The pizza was so wet from the amount of mozzarella, there was nothing on it when picked up just a soggy base. They made a new one and it was better.The child’s menu should be just that. The chips were covered in rock salt, which isn’t okay for small children, the mash stated on the menu mash, not mash with garlic, cheese and salt.The adults chips had far too much salt on and ruined the food. The halloumi chips came out burnt to a crisp, they re cooked fresh and they were better but come with no dip!I would absolutely visit for a drink, but would not return here for food.

It's a pub. If you're looking for a decent drink and a good atmosphere then the Bull has that covered. But there is more, much more. A friendly and helpful team offering excellent service and food to match. They sure know how to use their pizza oven and a great range of options are available. Homemade burgers are stunning and if you think you've eaten enough, think again and try one if the Bull's handmade ice creams. For the quality and service, prices very reasonable indeed

This is a lovely family run modern country pub, serving excellent food, with the added bonus of a pizza oven, I didn't try one but they looked amazing!The menu is very accommodating and has an excellent variety of food.I really enjoy my meal here and would recommend a visit to couples, families and groups of friends.I will be going back very soon.

Our hotel restaurant was closed for the evening so headed into Towcester, we had booked and were greeted by a young friendly member of staff who showed us to our table.We were sat next to a wood fired pizza oven and looked over the menu which had something for everyone's taste, I had the prawn and crayfish starter which was presented in a magnificent metal crab 🦀 then followed by the ribs and my wife had the gammon and son the pizza.The ribs were to die for and had definitely been cooked with love, the gammon was extremely tasty and pizza amazing. Homemade chips and onion rings were the crowning jewels on a great meal 😋 not forgetting the sticky toffee pudding with Homemade ice cream. Bill for all this with 5 drinks was under £90 so great value for money.

Lovely well decorated venue.Food choice was great and quantity and quality were superb. The staff were incredibly helpful (especially Mia)Would definitely eat here again if we didn't live so far away.

Dined in the restaurant. Food was OK. Would come here again on a busier night to give it another chance. The restaurant was dead and the ambience wasn't improved by Smooth Radio! Also quite disruptive to have kids stomping around upstairs. Didn't bother me so much but it did spoil things for others at my table.
