Incredible food, really fantastic! The atmosphere was wonderful, lovely pub and the staff were amazing - friendly, attentive. I think the landlord is Nathan (might have got his name wrong) but what an interesting man and hard worker. Visited twice recently and can't wait to go back.

I do like this pub. The food is generally good, if a little on the pricey side. But the staff are friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Happy to see that it survived the pandemic. I will be back.

Received a voucher for Christmas for a night at The Crown Inn - absolutely unreal experience. We had the most amazing room with a beautiful bathroom. The bed with massive and so comfy. The best part of the visit was the food - the best meal I have ever had. If you visit I recommend you get the Chorizo/Salt & Pepper Squid starter, followed by the mussels for main. Will be visiting in the future!

Couldn't fault our Sunday lunch visit. Fantastic food, great drinks selections and to top it off, the staff were superb. Highly recommended.

Previously visited this pub/guest house. Lovely rooms food and staff. However this time was a poor experience.Last year we paid £60.00 and for the same this year we paid £120.00. But based on our previous experience we thought it was worth it.We put our stuff in our room upstairs and overlooked the fact that the toilet seat was hanging off. These things happen! We went down stairs for a drink. We had a couple of glasses of wine each. At £9 per glass this came to £36.00We had brought with us our own bottle of Prosecco for I drink in the room. When I asked the lady behind the bar for 2 Prosecco glasses for the room she replied, “oh so your not going to by the wine from us then.” I said I would if it was a problem (even though I had paid so much already. She gave us the glasses reluctantly. We can back down stairs to eat our meal. I asked her this time for som salt and vinegar for the chips. She said in a very aggressive way “salts there” and pointed to salt already on the table. She returned with the vinegar and slammed it on the table in front of me.When we finished the meal I went to the toilet. On my way back she stopped me and said remember to pay!I hadn’t forgotten… I was hardly going to do a runner. I was staying upstairs and she had my card details anyway. She then made it very clear to some locals that she was annoyed that we hadn’t left her a tip. It was very embarrassing. Before I went to bed I went to the bar again, this time to ask for some extra tea bags and sugar for the room and we had drank a cup of tea already and needed more for the morning. Again she was very rood like I was asking too much. The morning breakfast is served in a small dining room. I was told that there would be eggs and a toaster amongst other items. When my wife and I went down there was one egg each. No bread suitable for the toaster just some hard rolls that I had to cut up to fit in the toaster. My wife is lactose intolerant so lucky we had some milk with us as there was no milk at all in the breakfast area so we wouldn’t have been able to make and tea or coffee. I was surprised that there was no cereal either. All in all it was far too expensive and too little was provided. The woman behind the bar was so rude that it ruined my break.Shame because Nathan the other member of bar staff has always been lovely as is the accommodation.I won’t be returning.

Stayed in a local Airbnb and the Crown was a 2 minute walk away, what a lovely village pub. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and the food was outstanding!! Just make sure you are hungry as the portion sizes are big. All home cooked and fresh ingredients. Annie the landlady was very attentive, and even asked how our day at Silverstone went when we returned for our second night of dining. Decor lovely, just wished we lived in the village as it would defo be our second home!!

Good pub with a variety of drinks (ales and beers). I think they serve food too (I only stopped for a drink). The only improvement would be to fill the pint glass up as I felt I was in France or Spain with a glass with a big head 😃
