A rare traditional pub, no jukebox or pool table just a lovely pub how they used to be. Real ale in excellent condition & superb food.

Beautiful pub inside and out, matched only by the surroundings. We popped in at Saturday lunch, everyone was welcoming and friendly, and the food we had was delicious. If you are visiting in the area, please do make this part of your trip.

Excellent service and excellent food. Enjoyed the Tiger ale. Made to feel very welcome. Have been before and will return again. Highly recommended.

Good historic boozer. Small selection of independent beers. They have a nice private room which seats about 15 people. Great Sunday lunches.

Great village pub with great staff, food & beers. I've had to upgrade my review to 5 Stars...I made a very late request for a table for myself & my son for Xmas Eve & Helen, (who is awesome by the way), was able to squeeze us in. The food was AMAZING. I'm quite critical about meals when out dining if there is an issue, but the food we received was cooked and presented perfectly. The staff were allbrilliant even though it was a really busy Xmas Eve service. It's not a big pub, so booking is advised, but it's lovely inside. The only small downside is it's size, but then maybe that's part of the venue's charm and therefore not a downside at all? Highly recommended with 6 Stars! 😎

I've been there only once so far, but I hope it won't be the last. Beer prices seems to be ok, very nice pub and friendly staff, what else do you need 🙂 (I didn't eat there so no comments on food)

A lovely Sunday lunch here today with family .. service was good and food came quickly . First pub we have been able to book a table after 1pm ..more food than we could eat and kids lunches were plenty ..my youngest grandaughter only wanted aYorkshire pudding and gravy and they were happy to do it for her ... food was excellent .. Having just moved to Sulgrave this pub is definitely on my regular list ..

A lovely lunch, very friendly and fast service. The small and large fish and chips were excellent along with the mushrooms on sourdough. Great coffee too, thank you all!

A quiet little pub that is located off the M40. This is a great place to stop for a drink or a pub lunch. Very welcoming with food you would be happy to return for, however this is certainly not the main reason to go. I would say the key reason to return is the service. The food was slightly late (to which we didn't mind) however we were regularly made updated on progress with apologies. Our waitress was great!

Good food and beer, reasonable service. Under new ownership with a different Chef and menu as of January 2017.There was no fire and while the food was good, I missed the shepherd's pie on the old menu. It's just not quite the same G&D.
