The Plough Inn - Shutlanger in South Northamptonshire

What a wonderful local place. The food was very good, the service was excellent. Eating out with a toddler is always challenging, but we had a very child friendly experience. The waiting staff were incredibly friendly.

Fabulous meal at this lovely pub. A limited but very select menu that was cooked to perfection, from the runny yolk quails' eggs, to the shrimp butter that made my salmon dish complete, to the yummy creme brulee that arrived flaming in front of me. Brilliant attentive staff. We were seated upstairs and I was a bit concerned about being forgotten but I had no need to worry. Will definitely be back. Thank you x

Our first visit in quite a while. The Plough has been very tastefully decorated and is clearly very popular for dining. Understandably so. Beautifully presented dishes cooked to perfection . Venison, sea bass and beef pie were all enjoyed! Only just room was left for a couple of delicious ice-creams and sorbets!

A great fine dining pub with traditional pub classics but a la carte! Lovely looking place, very homely, and very busy on a Saturday night. We were seated upstairs which felt like a private room with only two larger tables. The food was lovely, and as you can see, impeccably presented! Our server Joe was very knowledgeable, very friendly and super helpful when it came to splitting the bill minus the deposit paid for the table, minus the alcohol for a select few in our party.Only recommend improvements, the carpark is very unfinished for elderly or wheelchair access, and when seated upstairs, sometimes we had to wait longer than usual to get extra drinks. That said, We will definitely be going back!!

Great experience , only improvements I would make is either have few more specials or longer mains menu. The desserts menu we thought as a table of 6 was disappointing and no specials. The food that I had was amazing but could just do with more of a selection on the desserts.

Simple Friday lunch menu but executed flawlessly.Everything we ever eat here is immaculate and incredibly tasty - especially the beef burger, amazing flavour.Lovely staff and nice cosy atmosphere too.Not sure what else to say!

Friendly servers, excellent food, and fair prices with great options for vegetarians. Sunday roast (a lovely English tradition) is well worth the visit. Decor is clean, bright and modern. The dining room is small and intimate so book well ahead to get a seat. Highly reccomended!
