Waitrose, Towcester Branch in South Northamptonshire

Very clean, well stocked and quiet.

Very clean, tidy and welcoming store. Staff were excellent. Found what I needed easily and quickly through a till.

Great friendly staff. Great service. Clean. Good deals.

Currently the best local Waitrose during the pandemic (I can also visit Brackley, Daventry and Banbury). Easy to park, queues are well controlled.Uodated February 2022: good fruit and vegetable selection, although some areas of the shop are low in choice and stock. Not blaming Waitrose - all supermarkets are experiencing the same difficulties post-Brexut.

I was stuck at home I'll and my partner had driven around all the supermarkets in Northampton to find the HIPP ORGANIC NUMBER 1 BABY FORMULA and had no joy.After contacting 4 different Waitrose stores ( all of them extremely helpful, checking other store stock levels) I finally rang towcester and spoke to Ahton who advised they had a couple of boxes left.After I explained my situation he kindly said he would. Put a couple boxes back for me untill I am able to get there. He reassured me it will be fine.I literally cried with relief, as a first time mum you could imagine my panic lol.Thank you so much Ashton, you and waitrose are life savers. I really hope he gets to see this post

Sue, on the self service. Help me with an item I couldn't locate in the store . She looked to see if it was in-stock then advised me to speak to someone in the chilled section . The assistant who's name I do not know located them on the shelf . Thank you for your service . I purchased 2 of the items . ( Cauldron Greek style cubes in Mediterranean Herbs. ). 😀

The store is great but management need disability awareness training. Their attitude is archaic and offensive. If your in a wheelchair and need the toilet it will be a struggle. The toilet is far too small. The staff working on tills etc are all helpful and friendly. Big thanks to all of them for their help when needed.

Having been customers and loyalty card holders for some years my partner and I were very disappointed at the treatment we received today. Whilst we completely understand the current situation regarding social distancing etc. we weren’t expecting to be met at the entrance to the store by what can only be described as a ‘nightclub bouncer’ telling us that we couldn’t shop together and must keep apart whilst in the store. This would not have been so bad except that at the time of our visit the store was very quiet. Had this not been the case then we would not have entered the store together in order to comply with the current regulations. We appreciate that your ‘greeter’ has a job to do but a bit more civility to customers would not go amiss.
