Booked a table on Wednesday for 10 people for the Sunday roast.we were shown to the table only to be told there was no beef.We asked for pigs in blankets with each meal, only to be told they only had 2 portions left. The meal arrived and was ok,but not brilliant. We decided to have a dessert, which was quite pleasant, but the custard and ice cream portions were so small even my 6 year old grandson complained that there wasn't enough. We wont be going back there I'm afraid.

Attempted to visit last night to be greeted by a Boxer dog off the lead pounding and barking at the entrance door! Instantly decided to leave as I didn't fancy wrestling with a barking Boxer dog to try and get a pint! NOT family friendly, I will not attempt to visit this pub again

Turned up on spec hoping for a Sunday roast, we weren't disappointed! The lads behind the bar couldn't have been more helpful. Despite being fully booked, they offered to serve our dinner in the bar, which really wasn't a problem, as we sat next to the fire! Good food, really helpful & friendly staff and well priced. Thank you!

Lovely little pub. Great food reasonably priced and best of all dog friendly. We will definitely be back!

Booked meal for 4 on 1st Dec for my mates birthday. Turned up tonight to be told No Booking and kitchen closed. What is point of booking? Had heard good reviews and like to support local businesses so not happy.

We Went to the Carpenters Arms today for the first time in nearly 2 years, we used to eat here regularly . We both had burgers at lunchtime which included a drink in a deal. Food excellent. After reading the menu, for future reference, will definitely be coming back on a regular basis. Prices very good, with a good choice of dishes.

Great food at excellent prices, great range of beer, wine and spirits. Add to that the fantastic hosts, just what a pub should be

Pub was very quiet, although that meant prompt service. Prices were fair and beer tasted good . Had already eaten so Didn't sample food. Outside area for smokers and car park for pub user's. Carpenters is just off A45 to stop for a break although minimal road noise within pub.Used premises previously its dog friendly and I've sat next to a roaring fire on winters day.Nice calm pub 🍻

We had a late lunch here (Friday 20th Aug 2021) and it was great. The guys were helpful and timely with service. The menu is nicely varied and the food served was of excellent quality. The sorbet ice cream was particularly good.I enjoyed a pint of draft cider and a pint of Landlord, both of which tasted refreshingly pure. Signs of a well kept cellar and pipes. Well done Carpenters! We hope to visit again soon.It would be nice to see some stuff for kids, like crayons/pencils and colouring sheets, but you still get five stars for a thoroughly good pub experience. Thank you.
