It was my first time ordering from Le Spice Merchant on Sunday. They had a charity event on that was extremely busy. Everyone’s orders was running late but they apologised which I felt was genuine to me when they gave me my order which I done online. The food was amazing and so was the staff even though they was under pressure. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Delivery was late & incomplete plus got overcharged.I'd never order from here again. Should be called Le Rip-Off Merchant.*EDIT: In response to 'Le Spice Merchant' reply...I don't expect anything for free & the delivery definitely was late, that's why we had a message informing us it was going to be be delayed.I ordered the lamb tikka biryani which is supposed to come with a vegetable curry, I then paid an additional £3.50 for a korma sauce. When the delivery came it was minus the vegetable curry. So I didn't receive what I had happily paid for, therefore you ripped me off. CUSTOMERS BEWARE OF 'LE RIP-OFF MERCHANTS'

Shameful excuse for a business. Make you wait 30 mins to collect a takeaway and then cancel your order for speaking up.The owner claims he knows how to run his business, clearly couldn't run a bath!

Distinctly average.Lamb in bhuna had chewy bits, masalla lacked flavour, restaurant was rather expensive compared to other restaurants so had thought it would be better.Onion bhaji starter also only came with onion and raita, never before have I had an Indian starter that did not come with salad.Would not order from here again unfortunately. In response to the owners reply the poin tof online reviews is to allow people to express their opinions, which is precisely what I have done. There were too many issues for me to contact the restaurant directly and I was not seeking a refund. The reason I chose to order here was based on positive reviews I had read, this was not my experience therefore believe those seeking a new restaurant should have a complete picture. My intent is not to damage your reputation as you have stated, but to leave an honest review of my experience.

This is the best Indian restaurant in Wellingborough. Extremely good quality and always hot and quick delivery. Don’t forgot this is one the few nut free kitchens in the county for this type of cuisine.

Ordered takeaway on a Wednesday, took a very long time, the businesses fault or Uber eats fault? Who knows? Would’ve been okay if the food that arrived had a modicum of seasoning. Food was bland, Indian cooking should have layers of spice…not the case, even simple seasoning, like salt. Had the Lamb Dopiaza, maybe just the wrong choice, but the paneer was also tasteless sooo…To the business, sorry! but I’m sure you can do better or we were unlucky. Unlikely to try again

One of the best indian valentines we’ve had yesterday as our usual indian had a electric burst. This amazing Indian restaurant fully licensed we didn’t know about always thought it was just takeaways! The decor is absolutely beautiful i would highly recommend anyone to visit this establishment highly!

Arrived cold and curry leaking everywhere. Madras was lovely the korma bland and the chicken tikka looked like it had arrived from chernobyl and would glow at night! not one piece of chicken like it usually has come with previously instead it had some unidentified minced meat which tasted revolting really disappointed as I loved using this place but since spending £56(luckily had a £10 voucher) on food for my family which most ended up in the bin I won't be bothering again for that price! Really disappointed

After them being my go to place for a takeaway for a while we celebrated our newly gained freedoms to have a meal inside a restaurant with a short trip to Le spice merchant. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the seats were comfortable. The service was attentive, polite and the food.... well the food tasted even better than I remembered. There are plenty of 5 stars reviews and it is not a coincidence. Definitely the best Indian food in the area. If you think about eating out and you are undecided or just visiting the area Le spice merchant is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!
