Overstone Manor in Wellingborough

Went here for the carvery on Sunday 8th to celebrate my wife’s birthday. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff, and told there were some delays on the table service. This did not concern us as we wanted the carvery, I paid for the meal and drinks and again at the and the bar staff were very friendly. We had to que for about 5 minutes for the carvery, it was very much worth it though as the food was fantastic. Overall I would have no hesitation in recommending Overstone Manor and we will definitely be paying another visit.

Friendly staff, very nice Sunday roast, very good price.It was very busy but didn't have to wait for so long.

Shocking. Will not be returning. Waited an hour for starters, and then another hour for main course. Starters were cold. Main course was extremely poor. Definitely not worth the wait. Waitress did all she could, bless her. If you are considering going here, please think again. The management team here need to reconsider their positions, hospitality is not for you. 100% the worst eating out experience I have ever encountered.

What a beautiful room my daughter booked the room for her wedding anniversary, what beautiful panelling, and a really fantastic fireplace the meal was fantastic well done overstone manor,

The Overstone Manor is family friendly with prices to suit everyone. You can order at the bar of use the app. We used the app and it worked well. We got our drinks very swiftly and the food followed within a couple of minutes.The food is typical pub grub and the menu is immense....in fact too much choice! It's basic stuff but very tasty and good value for money.

Overstone Manor has got considerably better.Pre pandemic the food quality was kind of going down hill, with the exception of the carvery, but since reopening it has dramatically improved.Great staff and excellent service, along with good food, make Overstone Manor a cracking family meal out.Well worth regularly eating out here.

Visited yesterday, 6 of us for a birthday meal. Place was freezing cold! Seated near the toilet & could smell it the whole time we were there. Damage to the ceiling which must be a health & safety issue as potentially flakes of paint/debris could fall into the food. Carvery was lukewarm,veg watery & tasteless. Very disappointed. What has happened?! Never had problems before on previous visits & have left feeling well fed with quality food. Won't be visiting again. Such a shame. Miss the lady who used to meet & great at the door,she was spot on!

Poor quality food, the roast potatoes are deep fried, the vegetables soggy, poor quality of service. Our booking was for a round 'social' table that we didn't get. We had to order meal selections in advance but on the night they had 'lost' half of the order. It was cold even though they had a few electric fan heaters scattered around. The heating doesn't seem to have been working for more than a month now. Many Green King restaurants are excellent value and food, sadly this is not one of them.

Overall, it was a lovely meal. The only downside was when the drinks arrived, they didn’t say about swapping one drink for another due to low stock, so we needed to go up to the bar and enquire (the waiter had no clue). And the cheesy garlic bread that we’d ordered had a very distinctive fish taste about it. We obviously didn’t eat this as it was revolting. Husbands mixed grill was well done, opposed to rare.However the establishment was clean, warm and welcoming.

The girls working there are so down to earth. The staff were so polite and could tell they were in the possession of that rare skill ... "common sense"! Loved my first experience and would definitely go back!!!!
