This establishment always comes to mind when it comes to treating a friend to tea and cake and a good catch up . It's has a mixture of vintage and modern features included in the choice of decor adding to it's appeal and table and seating areas spread from the front of the shop / café through to the back which is where I love to go as it's bright, airy and feels more like a tea room than the front part. (There is also an outside area to sit too) I noted cake prices are not displayed on the counters .Cake portions are quite big so I didn't feel that we weren't getting value for money and the customer service was pleasant and accommodating. For three people wanting a basic treat of a pot of tea and a slice of cake it cost around £20 . In all we enjoyed the time together and did not feel rushed.Parking space is limited but no problem finding a side street to park up and walk there. Lovely place to have look around too . It has gone through a few refurbishments since we have moved to the area 18 years ago . But all good.

A day out with a friend and our first time in this wonderful shop, cafe and museum. A great selection of unusual gifts and cards, friendly staff, very inviting cafe with varied selection of quality food and drink. I loved my homemade quiche and delicious smoothy. The attached museum was very interesting and rounded off a very enjoyable afternoon. Well worth visiting.

Delicious food all homemade on the site. Perfect place for a treat. Lovely staff, immaculate areas and the best cheesecakes in the area.... 😋

Visited there today for the first time. What a fantastic place. A lovely variety of different things there. You have the restaurant there which is perfect for a family snack or afternoon tea. Then you have the shop with a varierlty of books, gifts and puzzles, and then you have a super museum upstairs full of memorabilia from the area I would guess in the 40s/50s and older.Def worth a visit.

Delicious food served in a light and airy setting. It was a great place to celebrate joint birthdays with friends. I am celiac and usually have difficulty finding tasty food. I will be back soon with my huband and my friends want return and bring their families. The staff were helpful and we enjoyed looking round the whole establishment.

Visited Jeyes today for Afternoon Tea. There were 6 of us in our group and the food supplied was ample for us all, with a good selection of sandwiches, quiche, scones, cakes and sweet treats (we couldn't finish it all and the staff were more than happy to box it up for us to take home). One of our group is Gluten free and the staff had no issues catering to her needs. The tea room was nicely decorated, and very cosy. There is an outside area which looked lovely and will be nice to sit out there in the summer. Service was efficient and we didn't feels rushed even though it was clearly busy. The attached shop is beautiful and well stocked with a variety of produce from local suppliers. Definitely worth a look around.

Very frendly staff could not be more helpful to an excellent experience. A good menu and enjoyed the food selected. Also a very interesting museum where I enjoyed looking round the exhibition some of which I can remember from childhood.
