We stayed here over night to attend an event on the airfield the following day.The hotel reception, bar and dining facilities are in a separate building with the bedrooms across the carpark. Our room was large and reasonably well decorated - if slightly dated. The bathroom was large with a bath and overhead shower in it.There was tea and coffee making facilities, a small TV and adequate wardroom space with hangers. The hotel facilities were very nice - the bar and other facilities are decorated in a art deco style - in keeping with the building which looks over the airfield.Unfortunately there was no dining facilities on offer as they are having trouble getting catering staff. We were made aware of this before our arrival and offered the opportunity to cancel should we wish.We dined out for evening meal at a local pub (The Horseshoe) which was very nice and about half a mile down the road. Breakfast was in the local garden centre - also about half a mile away in the opposite direction. We spent our evening in the bar, which was well stocked and staffed, if a little quiet - prices were reasonable. All in all I would visit again if we attended another event at the airfield.

Great hotel and location. Only issue was with lack of evening food due to no chef. Also lack of evening ambience in the bar social area; in my opinion it could have done with some low background music of the era.

Perfect location for our museum visit, comfortable rooms, great service. Love the Art Deco.

Perfect place to indulge a passion for the past. The hotel & bar/restaurant still in original art deco order. A visit to the on site Sywell Air museum highly recommended.

This place is amazing! We went for lunch and it was very hearty. Couldn't manage to eat it all. The food was tasty and fresh and the service excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful because you can see the planes, micolights and helicopters landing and taking off. Would definitely recommend this place.

Clean & tidy room, had everything you needed, bar staff were lovely and stayed up as long as we did - thank you!

Perfect hotel for pilots and aviation enthusiasts! It’s really decorated with a love for details! They even have a great view over the airport from their breakfast room. The beakfast has a great selection and the staff was very polite and helpful.

We only arrived this afternoon but we are loving this place already. If you love art deco, 1920s or 1930s era or the hisof aviation, this could well be the place for you to stay! TOTALLY AWESOME

I love aeroplanes so I'm biased, but this is an interesting place to stay. Shortly after checking in we watched a Spitfire take off from the runway just a short distance from the hotel's outdoor dining area. Not a very adventurous dinner menu but well cooked simple food. Good bar with plenty of choice - Manager Stacy was a star and looked after us well. Hotel is good value with very comfortable beds, quiet rooms and reasonable prices. Only criticism was that the breakfast sausages get my award for the worst I've ever eaten !
