My daughter, my wife and I visited at the weekend for a lunchtime meal.I had the fish and chips, and my wife and daughter agreed on a boneless chicken sharer platter. The menu recommended that three people share this option.I thought, great! There might be a couple of pieces of chicken left over which I could find room for.The meals came out together, which was great... Apart from the fact that they'd brought us a plate of chicken wings. The server took it back and said she would change it.When she came back, there was a plate with 5 small pieces of chicken on it.Now, my maths isn't great, but 5 small pieces of chicken barely bigger than a chicken nugget don't make a sharing platter. How do 5 pieces of chicken divide between 2 let alone 3 people to share. And a cost of £10.79 to add insult to injury! When we challenged it, the server said she would see if there another plate of food waiting. She came back and said that what we got was right. My wife went to speak to the manager who told her it was down to weight of the chicken and that we weren't the first to complain about it... Then shrugged. No sorry, nothing. My wife sent Sizzling pubs an email complaining about the lack of care let service but it's yet to hear anything. We definitely won't be back

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but we ended up leaving. The priory is always very busy however when we visited for lunch most lunch items were out of stock. Guessing the chain is having distribution issues at the moment :(

Was not and place, the carvery was good, although the xlarge is massive! Small/kids will do most people, good range on and even through we were end of service on it it was very good.Service was a bit hit and miss, a few staff around but only one person really taking orders and not that attentive (could have smiled as well).Good value menu and environment, so get what you pay for really across the board, from the clientele etcSeemed really clean despite how busy it was, and it looks like a nice pub.Had loads of parking available and good location if you're passing through.

Went to the Priory with my two autistic Godsons (aged 4 and 6). We booked a table in advance and asked for a quiet spot for the children. The pub was quite busy when we arrived but the lady who greeted us said she’d reserved us a table in a side room. This was brilliant for the boys, and their parents were able to properly relax and enjoy their meals. The food was lovely and really good value for money (as always), and the service was excellent. Thank you to everyone at the Priory for helping to make it such a lovely treat.

Booked table, when we got there the place was mobbed, (Good sign) luckily there was only 2 of us, else we wouldn't of got a table, when table booked. Food nice and hot. Tea / coffee machine playing up so coffee not to good. Would recommend to others.

Food... had better.Staff friendly and obliging.Lasagne okay, but no garlic bread as offered on menu, substituted with onion rings which were cold!Desserts really good.... treacle sponge, apple crumble, choc fudge cake.

1. A disappointing find to get there and discover there was no carvery. They really should have called lunch bookings to tell them as we would have gone elsewhere.2. The management, when asked if my wife could move to a nearby empty booth to breastfeed with privacy as she was seated in a main walk way next to the bar, told her to sit and feed in the disabled toilet. Even the very young waitress knew this was a disgusting prospect and was very embarrassed to have to give us the answer, apologising as she did.3. I was served literally stale part-baked bread.4. Part of our order was ignored until the table was cleared and we asked for it.5. A gentleman accidentally spilled an entire pint on the floor next to our table. HE ended up getting a towel from the bar to clean their floor.I appreciate that being left short staffed in the kitchen puts a lot of pressure on staff but there is no excuse for this level of poor service. Such a shame as the actual waitresses were lovely. Wish I could say the same for the curt manageress who treated each new table as an inconvenience.

We had a lovely meal on Boxing day with our family. The food and service was very good .Also the table we had was well spaced away from other diners which made us feel more comfortable in the current climate. Highly recommended.

Phoned for over an hour to reserve a table on Friday night, nobody bothered to answer the phone. Decided to risk it and drove an hour and turned up at 9.01....hoping the last meal order was 9pm.The staff said that they stopped serving at 8pm!!! On a Friday Night??? How is that good business? One of our party explained we had been ringing for over an hour. He just said....."well we're busy!" The phone rang while we were there, and there was approximately 12 people in the pub and NOBODY at the bar (where the phone was) and still multiple staff walked by it and constantly ignored it ringing! We came to review the food....thankfully we didn't eat there, as I'm sure that if the food was up to the same standard as the Lazy staff, that too would have been appalling!I certainly hope the owners/management see this review.

Lovely food today, not too busy at 1.45 pm, we shared 3 starters, breaded mushrooms, potato skins with cheese & bacon, & hunters chicken nachos, then skipped straight to dessert, honey comb sundae with strawberries, raspberries, & fluffy cream. The pub was very clean all through & staff were very pleasant & helpful.
