The Wollaston Inn in Wellingborough

We visited for the first time on Sunday for a drink, this is such a friendly, welcoming, warm, (there is a gorgeous log fire) pub. We went back tonight for dinner and the food is first rate. Looking forward to our next visit.

Stopped for a bite to eat as daughter had cricket training at Wollaston school. The landlady said the pies were very filling! So we sat near the roaring log burner. Mushroom and ale pie and the chicken, leek and stilton one arrived. Absolutely beautiful and was very generous in portion too. Highly recommended for those who like a friendly, warm atmosphere and tasty and value for money food!

Nice food. Plenty of gluten free options including sausage and chips for kids which makes a change as most places only do gluten free options for adult sizes. Even had some desserts. My partner had the gluten free crumble as well but it wasn't great, the crumble mix wasn't right but my daughter and son ate it. The fudge cake was also gluten free and was a little dry, I didn't finish it which is rare for me.The staff were very friendly. It was cold in there though I had to eat with my coat on

Fabulous food- great quality, homemade (where possible). My Southern fried burger was so crunch and tender. His steak and ale pie was tasty, tender and stacked with meat.Cosy with the REAL BIG log burner and welcome from Lou and her team that make you part of the family.

Lovely friendly atmosphere with separate dining room as well as eating in the bar. Fair prices, friendly staff, food good quality. Been more than once now. Hand pump real ale and plenty of parking.

Great atmosphere and the food too match. The landlady is funny and makes the place. Keep it up and everyone should visit if passing.

Nice place

Love this place. Warm welcome, cold beer, hot food. Great value for both food and drinks. A charming restaurant serving great British pub grub that is really tasty and easy on the wallet. Friendly bar staff/landlady - perfect as a local or resting stop for a weary traveller.

The MOST memorable part of our trip to England from the States - great Pint (actually about 8)...We spent over 3 hours talking with the lovely staff and locals Chris & George after our visit to the Dr. Martens Factory and Store. Thanks Chris for the Gin and lively conversation - Miss you ALL already!
