Great little local pub, homely feel, warm welcome, great prices. Travelled just under an hour to visit, well worth the drive. A definite revist this one, landlord Steve clearly cares about this business and I witnessed him welcome quite a few customers with a very personal welcome, welcoming by names, not very often you see that. If locals are regularly visiting then that speaks volumes.

We held our sons birthday party in the beer garden. The garden itself was beautifully presented and spacious. Staff couldn’t help enough and the food was first class. Garden is safe and enclosed and half covered. Can’t recommend this place enough 😊

·

Spent the weekend camping next door to this great pub. Ate there Friday night and the food, atmosphere and service was so good we felt compelled to eat there again on Saturday. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a such lovely evening as a family & felt compelled to share news of this little gem. Such a wonderful warm welcome from the new landlord (Steve). What a fantastic ambiance & service: nothing was too much trouble & good quality home-cooked food. Give it a go: you won’t be disappointed.

Took a punt and went in here. Great beer kept well and superb food. Staff were great and locals kept us amused discussing the price of beer over the decades.

·

Proper village pub with beamed ceilings and a real fire . The place has a friendly atmosphere about it and sells a more than decent pint of Batemans xb and good quality and chilled white wine . Well worth a try.

·

Lovely traditional pub with great food and very lovely staff. If you're passing through its a fantastic atmosphere, nice and cosy with the open fires. Yummy Sunday roasts too!

·

Just been for our 1st Sunday lunch at the Half Moon and it was beautiful, well cooked and plenty to eat ,too full to have a sweet and that's not like me at all

Had lunch here today as on way to Care Home at Willingham by Stow. Lovely fire, friendly atmosphere, nice barmaid, good pint of Doombar and glass of Chardonnay and excellent well priced food. Molly the 🐩welcomed. Can't ask for more. Will be back.
