Kedgeree Fish & Chips in West Lindsey

Gorgeous, fresh fish and chips, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!

After not going for a few years as the food went down hill we thought we'd give it another go and so glad we did the fish was fresh piping hot, the batter was lovely and light. The chips were lovely too we will now be returning customers. The staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful so glad to see it back how it used to be.

Just love Kedgeree. I always order a large skinless haddock and they do not disappoint. I have always enjoyed their fish, a fillet of tasty, mouthwatering skinless large haddock or cod. Service had always been spot on, they even know my order before I get to the counter. Very rare I get chips but do order their special fish cakes now and again, their smoked haddock, cheddar cheese fish cake, smoked haddock and spinach fish cake being two of my favourites. Keep it up Kedgeree.👍

Very disappointed. Having paid for order which should have consisted of burger in a bun, large chips, 2 pots curry sauce and a chicken and mushroom pie, only to discover once driven home that they didn't put the pie in. So much for them checking order before giving to customer. Guess next time I'll have to watch very closely while they put order together and double check they have included everything before leaving.

Current process is to queue, only two in the shop at a time, and wear a mask, order, then wait outside if they are busy. Today they were busy but good service and not too long to wait. Really good fish and chips with curry sauce (great for dipping chips), very fresh. Lovely.

This is not the first time we have had a bad experience from this take away , so i feel the need to leave a review.In the past we have had missing items and the money just in the bag without the staff telling me, otherwise I would of ordered something else, eventually got through on the telephone where I spoke to the older woman who is cooking in the evening and I have never experienced such rudeness.My recent bad experience was on 10/10/2020 I was the 4th customer, I asked for 2 cod, a portion of chips and mushy peas, when I got home, it was clearly not cod, it was haddock which i dont like so yet another disastrous meal.May I suggest your staff recognise which fish your customers ask for please.

Bought x2 meals here on 17/12/18 at around 5:45pm. I’d expect all the food to be fresh and hot at this busy time of the evening. The chips were cold and looked as if they had been on hold for hours or recooked from sometime ago! This chippy used to be one of my favourites. What’s happened? We won’t be driving out to Welton to use again.

I have used this chippy before but I went for fish and chips tonight 12/12/18 at around 7pm and they were possibly the worst fish and chips I have ever had, the fish was dry and very thin at the tail end, I had to scrape the fish from the skin. If I lived in Welton they would have gone straight back for a refund, I guess the fish must have been cooked sometime before my visit and all the food was Luke warm when arriving home. Never again.

Lovely food. I never get fish so can't rate on that, but sausages are ace (especially if you get a lincolnshire!) and they give you loads of chips. Southern fried chicken strips are really good too.
